No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger Story & Production Team Announced!

Toei has officially opened their website for the next Super Sentai series- No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger!

Celebrating FIFTY YEARS of Super Sentai, the Gozyuger team fights Number One Monsters in Number One Showdowns. Opponents using the powers of past Red Rangers will appear to challenge the Gozyugers as well, but above all that this team will fight EACH OTHER as they work to collect the powerful Sentai Rings scattered throughout their world- to determine who IS the “Number 1 Super Sentai!”

Character bios are provided for the Gozyuger members:

*Gozyu Wolf is kindhearted but with a violent tendency. His special ability is scent-tracking thanks to an enhanced sense of smell.
*Gozyu Leon is a charismatic people-pleaser, gifted with super-hearing.
*Gozyu Tyranno is naive but well-meaning; possessing super-strength.
*Gozyu Eagle is a fun-loving playboy with super-speed.
*Gozyu Unicorn projects a calm personality but is devoted to her family. She possesses telepathy.

The head writer for this Super Sentai is Akiko Inoue, previously of Kamen Rider Gotchard. Action director is longtime Super Sentai veteran Ryuta Tazaki.

No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger will begin on February 16 2025!

    - Gozyu Drill/Gozyu Rex/Gozyujin.

    - The P.R. Special that aired after Lost Galaxy's "Redemption Day" with Austin and Walter. It showed Zyuranger footage, but only Gorenger was referenced by name.

    Well, the use of numbers was actually expected. The main thing is that Toei does not decide to introduce fractions to its young viewers.

    Indeed. Seeing how it's ゴジュウジャー and not ゴージュウジャー I agree that the number 50 might be emphasized somewhat because Japanese wordplay. Also, I can't help but think we will have a core five but no tsuika like Bun Violet or ToQ 6, but rather have a bangai much like VRV Master or Ninjaman. That is, unless they decide to add a tsuika and just have fun with the whole running gag of we're technically five rangers but this person is with us and we sure ain't hell rebranding as Rokujyuger.

    Something else to note besides the number of Sentai is that next year is also the 50th anniversary of Gorenger. So either way, they are definitely making it known that we're having an anniversary Sentai.
