With all the drama the last week, this is a real feel good story for fans of Power Rangers. If you grew up watching Mighty Morphin Power Rangers then you should know who Austin St. John is – he played Jason, the Mighty Morphin Red Power Ranger. After leaving halfway through season 2, he returned in Power Rangers Zeo as the new 6th Ranger, the Gold Ranger. He hasn’t been public with the Power Rangers fan community for a number of years but his Official Facebook Page recently announced his return – and now he’s coming back to the Official Power Morphicon Convention this August. His message was put on YouTube and can be seen below.

After the past twenty four hours, and personally questioning my PR fandom, I feel.. I don't know. Renewed? This gives me hope. Hope that some of the heroes I grew up watching haven't lost touch with reality.
I hope to meet him one day and thank him in person.

That was awesome to hear. Like you said Sentai, after the last week this fandom has had, its nice to see some former rangers still care. Now I just hope he comes to LexCon 2015 so I can meet him myself.
As soon as I can I plan to go to a convention that Austin St. John is gonna be guest appearing at so I can give him a big thanks for being part of power rangers & helping me grow as a person from him being on the show.
I'm so happy to hear from Austin again. He was always my favorite Mighty Morphin' ranger.
I know I'd love to meet him one of these days.
