So Akibaranger is basically a show about an otaku shop ran by otakus they get to be their own Sentai abd have a Kiss Player Transformer to drive...This is another Gai Ikari fanfic, isn't it?

I'm honestly going to have to see the first episode because I have no blasted clue what to make of this show. Some things look/sound fun/cool, but other things remind me why I hate a lot of animes these days.

From the way its going it does look like its going basically be anime clichés brought to life. While that's the kind of thing I'd dig, I can also see it having a very mixed reception.

the humors gonna have to be really well done to get me into this. I'm not into anything we've seen so far. The costumes, robot, and especially the henshin device are just not good imo.

I have to see their mech in motion.

the suits have grown on me but those changers are terribad, and MMZ01 is fugly

I'm quite curious to see how this show turns out. Can't wait.
