The official reveal of the 39th Super Sentai Series occurs this weekend in Japan! We now have some remarkable new details about the story and production in this new series. With thanks to The Tokusatsu Network for translations-
*Series producer Naomi Takebe states the series will focus on anything fun and include some extensive new stuntwork. TV-Asahi producer Chihiro Inoue suggests that Ninninger will contain several reworks of established Sentai formula in order to create heroes that all viewers will cheer for.
*Long-time special effects director Hiroshi Wakita was responsible for the main Mecha, ShuriKenJin. Wakita suggested combining every major gimmick into a single series because he had grown bored with recent themes.
In addition we learned several new details about the new villain group in this series!
*The Kiba Oni Army seek to restore their greatest general, Gangetsu. To accomplish this, the Army must gather the power of fear from humans.
*The Army create Yokai by attaching 1 of their 48 magical artifacts known as Sealing Shurikens to everyday objects, mutating them into monsters.
Last but certainly not least we received several new images of Ninninger merchandise- including the Shinobi, the Shurikens and ShuriKenJin!
Shuriken Sentai Ninninger premieres on February 15 2015! Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on all Ninja antics!

This weekend is the official reveal of the 39th Super Sentai at an event in Japan. We have several new images and details!
*Producer Naomi Takebe says that "anything fun" will be tried for the new series. In addition to hiring new suit actors, special attention has been paid to fight scenes and wirework for this new series- focusing on "things human beings can actually do."
*The concept of Shurikenjin came from effects specialist Hiroshi Wakita, who suggested putting every previous motif in one series.
*The Fanged Demon Army's main goal is to resurrect their general, Gengetsu. To do so they must gather fear from humans. They create Yokai by attaching a Sealing Shuriken to a random object, mutating it into a monster.
GoseiWonder says
Putting a Sealing Shuriken on everday objects? So the MOTWs will be like the ones from Dairanger?
Suzu says
I've read on TNN that Kenji Matsuda (Zanki in Hibiki, Garuru in Kiva) will also join the cast to voice one of the villains. All of my yes and squeaky fangirl noises to that.
Eric says
Wait...the villains need to gather fear from humans to revive their master?
So it's the same plot as Shinkenger/Power Rangers Samurai then.
KamenRiderOOO says
But I gotta say, love the guy's call to try and fit every motif possible for the mecha. Hmm...thinking how does that work...
-Shinobimaru- Kakurenger? (Mechs were humanoid)
-Dragomaru- Dairenger? (Red's mech was a dragon)
-Dumpmaru- Boukenger? (Red's mech was a dump truck)
-Wanmaru- ...Dekaranger? (Both series had a dog that kept something in it's mouth while it transformed)
-Byunmaru- ToQger (kinda obvious)
-Paonmaru- Gekiranger? (resemblance to Geki Elephant)
-UFOmaru- Megaranger? (space ship)
Or that could just be my wild guesses
ElConvoy says
Wanmaru is more the reporesentative of all the Power Animal shows like Gaoranger, Gingaman etc.
Oh and Kenji Matsuda is back...I´m already sold.
GoseiWonder says
Squee!
Suzu says
Squee!
Dr Kain says
This is either going to be one of the greatest Sentais ever or it is going to be one of the most bland, unoriginal, terrible ones ever. I just don't see how it can have an inbetween.
Eternity Knight says
Glad that I'm not the only who notice the similarities here with other shows.
