DX Fusion Switch Demo

The DX Fusion Switch set is finally released. Much like the BuraKaWani Medal set from last year, this set also includes one of Kamen Rider Wizard's rings, giving us a preview into 2013's gimmick. otona7592 brings us our demonstration of both the Switch and the ring:

What exactly is going on with the Ring? Does it just light up from an scanner?
If that's the case, looks like another year of the belt having all of the electronics.

I think it lights up and makes the belt play noises.

Yeah, but if I'm not mistaken, isn't there some kind of noise when Wizard runs his hand over the ring, before putting it over his belt? I can't really imagine the Hi, Mzu, Kaze, and Tsuchi rings having any electronics that would activate that noise.

If the OOOs Scanner was able to pick up the ring, it looks like they'll be using the same or similar tech as the OOOs Driver.

im calling it now, movie wars 2013 will have fourze use super-1,super-3, and fusion all at once.

That little light in the ring would have made me jump on the WizarDriver if the sounds weren't so lame. Damn cool gimmick though. It really fits the whole "magic" thing.

The switch is pretty uneventful though, I was hoping for something a little bit extra than just the switch name and transformation noise. But having literally every switch aside from this one, I feel obligated to pick it up.

In fact, the OOO scanner has a trigger button on its handle. You press then it makes this "stand-by" sound.
And only during this state, the scanner can scan the medals. Nothing is being activated by the ring in these videos.



This is noting like the OOO tech, much more advanced I would say.

OOO medals all have their individual ICs, OOO scanner would recognize them and trigger its own lights & sounds; yet medal themselves have no light or sound.
The OOO scanner surely requires batteries, and medals never do anything except being recognized.

It obviously has a light itself... AND
1st: NO BATTERY ever required; MAGIC! wow!
2nd: glows only when it's closed to an operating OOO scanner, and blinks by the rythm/beat of scanner's sound;
3rd: Once OOO scanner stops or moves away, the ring stops/fades.

So, it seems not only OOO scanners affects the ring, but any other electronic will do!

What could be the ring's power source?

There's one simliar technology called the "Inductive charging".

The wireless powering from an electronic toy might not be enough to activate your phone, but maybe just fine to light up a bulb on a ring.
It is UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING that Bandai manage to apply this tech to a children's toyline.
