Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger Production Details Announced!

The official TV-Asahi page for the 45th Super Sentai series Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger has officially gone public offering fans some key details on this upcoming project!

Zenkaiger’s head writer will be Junko Komura whose resume includes Dobutsu Sentai Zyuohger & Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger. Long-time Sentai veteran Shojiro Nakazawa will serve as the series’ director, while veteran suit actor Hirofumi Fukuzawa will take up the role of action director once again. The series will be produced by Shinichiro Shirakura, previously known for several Kamen Rider shows.

The story of Zenkaiger will feature the hero ZenKaiser and his four robot followers uniting against a foe determined to erase all parallel worlds. The unique Sentai Gear will concentrate the powers of past Sentai to aid in combat and further transformations.

An official cast reveal for Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger is currently scheduled for January 15 2021! The series itself will begin on March 7 2021!

    Didn't Ryusoulger have a Movie already? Is this a re-release or something entirely different?

    They did but this would be Kiramager's crossover film with them.

    I think both this and the Kiramager movie alongside whatever Zenkaiger is getting are all just billed as separate movies.

    Absolutely insane team. Awesome to see Lupat and Zyuohger's writer back; Zyuohger's one of my favourites and I loved Lupat's character work! This definitely feels like it hits the sweetspot of goofy that those seasons had, too.

    I was a bit nervous about Komura writing again, but then somebody pointed this out.

    That’s not likely to happen here, since Utsunomiya is nowhere near this series.

    Ugh, they couldn't even make red and yellow different from each other.

    As much as I hate this, I am curious as to how the toys will turn out. It's only saving grace to me is that I love Boukenger.

    I don't see how the Daizyujin and Gaoking bots looking similar is a bad thing.

    Dino and animal sentai mechs tend to always follow the same overall design cues, them using similar base suits with detail changes makes sense since you can't exactly do much else when working with an established formula.
