You now have zero excuses not to watch Garo.
To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the original broadcast of Garo, the Tohokushina Film Corporation has released the remastered version of the series with English subtitles on YouTube with no restrictions – meaning anyone in the world can watch Garo! On top of that there is now an English, Thai, and Chinese language version of the Garo-Project website.
Currently only the first two episodes are available but we imagine the rest will be released over the course of the next month.
Click here for Episode 01 and click here for Episode 02.
More and more tokusatsu continues to become accessible to the rest of the world. What series or franchise will be next?

to celebrate 15 years since the original Garo's release, the series will be released for streaming with English subs.

I wonder if this will be using Sentai Filmworks' subs? Either way I hope it gets them reprint the first season, since it's been out of print for awhile.

I'd love it if they could reprint the first season, because I was only able to get the second collection of it and not the first. Managed to get all the other Kraken Releases though.
Still it's cool to see that 1. We have an English Site up now alongside several others and 2. They're doing this with the OG Series.

Will it stay on the channel or are they going to de-list them after a certain time period?
Switchblade says
Wow. That is unexpected but fantastic news.

I assume the proper name of the YT Channel is GARO PROJECT".
When I look for the first two episodes, "Picture Book" and "Inga", I find that they were uploaded...two months ago!? Am I reading that right? Why did it take so long for the news to circulate?
Enchilada645 says
It might be that the subtitles themselves are new. After all, the official Garo Twitter only announced the English Subtitling on the 24th.
Since the last three remastered episodes are also up on the channel as of a day or two ago.
I think it was all part of a project of putting the Remastered 2005 Series on Youtube for people to watch and now that it's over they're adding subs to all the videos. Which would explain the two private videos in the Garo 2005 playlist.

I've wanted to do GARO before, but no such luck till now. It's not bad, but it feels like a slow and steady start.
