Bandai Japan has released the first official images of the newest Ultraman– the title character of Hideaki Anno’s upcoming cinematic project, Shin Ultraman!
The Shin Ultraman design pays homage to the classic Tsuburaya design with a few tweaks for the modern era.
SH Figuarts Shin Ultraman is scheduled for release in June 2021. The price is a modest 5000 Yen before shipping and handling.

Whoah! That was sooner than I was expecting. It looks good, though I'm still adjusting to the torso since it's still a little weird how only the limbs are thin while the body looks somewhat normal. I know they said the body was made using the original suit actor's proportions and mixing them up a bit to make him look alien, but I'm sure it'll grow on me, because some of the images they show look really good.

Well, I did want to see him in Figuarts form.
Looks like I'll be getting a third Ultraman.

I want this, but I think I'm gonna wait and see if we get some sort of weird secondary form in the movie.

Putting it side-by-side with Figuarts Type-A and C

THIS WEIRD GOOBER HAS A SHF ALREADY??
Also, 5k yen? He better come with more than just him and some hands.
BrokenDreams says
I wonder why he lacks a Color Timer? I guess they're trying to distance this version from Ultraman as far from the main series?

Awesome - was hoping they would reveal this after the teaser dropped. I wonder if it'll have some accessories they can't show us yet.
That being said, I think the new look is actually... better? Like, among the three, it's the classic suit figures that seem "wrong" to me now, Shin is more in line with the image of Ultraman I have in my head.
