Toei apparently has ideas for monsters and megaphones that so totally isn't an attempt to rip-off Ultraman!

Guess we aren't getting "Sharivan Infinity" or "Shaider Infinity".

My-Th only got trademarked last fortnight and Gavan Infinity is still in Q1, so logically this is way too early to be the second RED. However, Shirakura mentioned how RED would have a tighter Avengers-like continuity, so I guess this could be something like Spider-Man debuting in Civil War. For now, I think we should all think critically about what this might mean and not jump to any conclusions until we understand the franchise's precedent.

For some reason, I think it's more of an expansion of the Red Ninja Akakage concept, with a human-sized hero fighting kaiju. Probably not as obvious as Infinity Gavan (since the Akakage reboot came out this year), but something like Hibiki for Henshin Ninja Arashi.

Considering that Infinity Gavan pays homage to the entire Metal Heroes franchise, from Gavan to Robotak (hello, Patran!),



it's clear that the subsequent shows don't have much to offer in that regard.

Maybe Project Red will introduce 25-episode shows twice a year? Although, frankly, something's been going on with the announcements this year. It seems like Toei has gotten tired of the constant leaks of the last few years and is seriously taking action to fix it.

From what I've seen of people talking about Gavan Infinity. It feels like Infinity himself is like, Sharivan in universe but just named Gavan because that's how the naming convention of this multiverse works.

That said, nah there's no way it's Omega. It's like what I've heard everyone else say. It's Monster Hunter Stories.

Funnily enough I've also heard rumors/"leaks" basically saying that Emogears are still going to be a thing and that the Gavan Infinity cast is mostly just going to move over to this new show too. So uh, welcome back Ginga S?

I've been thinking about this a bit and it IS possible Omegahorn is another nod to the Metal Hero series, specifically Juspion. Between the emphasis the show seems to have on giant monsters and the fact that the "mega" in omega could be a nod to the mega in the official English name "Megabeast Investigator Juspion", it seems possble at least.

Honestly though we are in unprecedented territory right now, so all we can do is speculate.

Wasn't the whole point of Decade's 31 episode limit to prevent Sentai and Rider from overshadowing each other? Wouldn't My-Th and Omegahorn premiering too closely be a problem for marketing?

I don't know what Ginga S means but the concept of a gimmick carrying in to the next season reminds me of Donbrothers with the Avatarou Gears. Not sure why they even did that, as Zenkaiger had poor merchandise sales. Emorgears are similar to the hot-selling Zyudenchi though, so maybe they could make it work. Honestly, I've always been confused about why Toei prioritized Ranger Keys over the Zyudenchi.

Weird how I started watching Juspion not long ago after taking long hiatus from Gavan Infinity, if Omegahorn references that show. On that subject, Daileon is the biggest counterpoint to anybody who complained that Gavarion GC-R is too Sentai.

Maybe Toei decided they'd done the wrong thing back then and that it's easier for viewers to follow their brother shows when they're on the same wavelength? After all, 17 years have passed since Decade, and a lot has changed.
But I think it's more likely that this is their way of combating leaks. Something like, "Let's tell it all first, before it gets discovered."
It's also entirely possible that Omegahorn is a separate project altogether, like Forticus.

This is from Ultraman. Essentially, Ginga and Ginga S are a precursor to what Power Rangers has been doing in recent years, starting with Samurai. The second season continues the first with some minor changes. However, Tsuburaya quickly decided that shorter shows sell better toys.

Yeah, I was thinking about Forticus as well. Toei have already made a bold departure from a stagnant status quo, so I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to take advantage of this creative freedom to explore more projects besides Rider, RED and whatever TTFC Sentai stuff we might get.

Hmm, I wonder if this is why recent shows like King-Ohger and Zeztz have had such distinct turning points halfway through. There's also Producer Minato's comment about Gotchard's Hundred arc being done to counter the usual ratings decline that occurs around that time. Perhaps a Saban Brands/Hasbro Power Rangers formula would make sense, without any of those annoying Nick-mandated hiatuses of course.
