Online retailer DVD Empire has put up a listing for “Power Rangers: Seasons 8-12” in a special boxset, which has been confirmed as an official release by Shout! Factory representatives!
The set- containing Lightspeed Rescue, Time Force, Wild Force, Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder- will apparently retail for 179.99 and is currently listed for release on November 12th but dates and prices are of course subject to change.
Thanks to member WhiteRanger for the heads-up!We have sadly been informed of the death of legendary Toei producer Tohru Hirayama. He was 84 years old.
Hirayama was a major influence in the production of early tokusatsu shows, maintaining a direct involvement in Kamen Rider and Goranger, culminating in the creation of Kamen Rider Stronger in 1975.
He will be deeply missed. :(
Another round of magazine scans has surface giving us our first real look at King Daigo’s powerup form, KyoryuRed Carnival! This special armor form is unlocked with a new weapon, the Gabutyra DeCarnival
In addition, we have our first look at a new member of the Deboss Army: Endolf, the Knight of Regrets.

Thanks to the HeroTaku Blog we have a close look at the first round of toys for our fresh new Kamen Rider Gaimu!
This includes an extensive look at the Sengoku Driver, the Musou Saber weapon, the various Arms armor styles and multiple LockSeeds with a variety of other powers.
Gaimu hits shelves and airwaves this October!
This is a partial video from the official unveiling of Kamen Rider Gaimu in Japan, giving us our first real look at the character and the movements of these fruity new suits.
From the looks of it, Gaimu offers a fresh and healthy new spin on a classic Rider flavor!
After the offiicial launching of their new main page and the associated press conference, we now have several new details about the 15th Hesei Era Kamen Rider!
*The story of Kamen Rider Gaimu will take place in a corporate-controlled city and the main monsters are known as Inbess creatures. In addition, street dance is the common ground between the locals and the Kamen Riders.
*There are FIVE main Riders this year, all of them fruit themed using special devices called Lock Seeds to utilize various forms and powers. Gaimu uses Orange and Pineapple LockSeeds for his main form. The other four Riders are Baron (Banana themed) Ryugen (Grape themed), Griton (Coconut themed) and Zangetsu (Melon themed).
*Kamen Rider Gaimu’s true name is Kota Kazuraba, and he will be played by Sano Gaku. He is a backup dancer for one of the street crews and meets the other Kamen Riders through his dancing experiences.
*Baron is the rival Kamen Rider to Team Gaimu, known as Kaito Kumon in human form; a power-hungry warrior who despises the weak. Ryugen is Gaimu’s best friend, a secretly-wealthy schoolboy. Zangetsu is Ryugen’s older brother, working at the mysterious Yggdrasil Corporation that owns their city.
*The series’ main writer is one Gen Urobuchi who has previously worked on a variety of anime projects including Fate/Zero and Magi Madoka. Gaimu will be directed by Ryuta Tasaki, veteran of multiple Rider and Sentai projects.
*The opening theme will be performed by Shōnan no Kaze a Japanese reggae group.
Kamen Rider Gaimu premieres October 6th! :)

Bandai is set to release yet another iconic suit from the glorious beginnings of Kamen Rider!
This is the original suit design for Hayato Ichimonji, better known as Kamen Rider 2 or Kamen Rider Nigo, the emergency replacement hero created in response to Hiroshi Fujioka’s on-set injuries.
Original Rider 2 will be a Tamashii Web Exclusive sold in December for 2940 Yen
With the San Diego Comic Convention over, a few final details surrounding the various news and progress from Bandai have been cleared up thanks to our attending representatives.
Hopefully these answers should clear up some questions fans may have:
– Power Rangers Monopoly’s board graphic contains some Sentai Rangers that were not ever Power Rangers. This was accidental. The background behind the new images of classic Rangers is lifted straight from the Legendary War Sentai footage. Their existence should be considered a nod to Sentai and nothing more, said Saban Brands when the image was discovered.
– The decreased size of the Gokaiger toys for Super Megaforce was to keep them affordable and because here they are meant for kids. The keys are smaller so they would be cost effective, but the springs work as good if not better than the Gokaiger keys. There was no confirmation if US Rangers would receive keys or not because they are still in prototype stages at this time. The Legendary Megazord is smaller and less complex to be affordable for parents as a kids you and to incorporate the “build a zord” feature that Bandai states is a popular and successful feature for the toyline. It makes each zord playable with older zords. There was nothing they could say about Gokai Silver’s zord at this time.
– The Legendary Morpher (Mobirate) is planned to have electronic features but no details at this time as to what or if it’ll call out specific Rangers or seasons
– Saban Brands credits a lot of the resurgence of Power Rangers to the fan sites and wants us all to know it doesn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated.
– Bandai acknowledges a lack of preparedness for their SDCC product and plans to be more prepared at NYCC which will feature yet to be annouced exclusive(s)
– There are no plans for SDCC product to be released at retail at this time
– Legacy Dagger is due in 2014. There is no definite date set for Legacy Dragonzord as it is still in early stages (hence no product to show)
– While the entire fandom knows tons about Super Megaforce, no one is truly ready to talk about it except that there’s planned product to be released. Not even the cast would talk about it, instead choosing “I don’t know what you’re talking about” in a sly and over-exaggerated tone
– Through a mis-click in Bluefin Tamashii’s survey at SDCC, what we saw at the time was Power Rangers Zeo leading the “what team do you want to see as SH Figuarts” question. That was at one point on Sunday as 130,000 people walked through the convention halls, so do not take that as anything remotely definite. Just fun to know and speculate.
A few months ago, the Super Imaginative Chogokin line announced it would be producing figures based on the villainous “Greeeds” in Kamen Rider OOOs
Now the most recent magazine scans have provided us with the first look at their first Greeed, Uva!
Price and release details are yet to be announced. :)
Bandai’s main page has begun teasing their fall releases, and topping the list is Alternative Zero from Kamen Rider Ryuki!
