A new magazine article in Japan has given us the first official look at Space Sheriff Gavan’s new movie poster, as well as providing some interesting hints about the film.
If the story is true, fellow Space Sheriffs Shaider and Sharivan will also be appearing in the film! :D

The full story of the Space Sheriffs’ long-awaited return has been revealed!
Fifteen years ago, three childhood friends, Geki, Sherry and Okuma, were star-gazing and became inspired to go into space. As adults, Geki and Okuma join a mission to Mars, but their space shuttle goes missing before they could reach their destination. A year later, a monster attacks and a mysterious silver-colored warrior appears.Retsu (the original Gavan) is now a special detective for the Galactic Federation Police and is training Geki as his replacement. Sherry joins SARD, an organization who’s mission is to help further space exploration and works alongside JAXA. She helps design a new Dolgiran with SARD. Sherry’s aunt, Eleena, is the secretary to Commander Com, the leader of the Galactic Federation Police. Itsuki, another childhood friend of Geki, joins SARD as a Physics Research Developer.
More information concerning the long-awaited return of the Space Sheriff has surfaced!
*The Space Sheriff will return to theaters October 20th of this year!
*For better or worse, veteran Gavan actor Kenji Ohba will not be reprising his iconic role. Instead the torch will be passed to a younger actor, relative newcomer Yuma Ishigaki.
*The film’s director is Osamu Kaneda whose resume includes “Lets Go Kamen Rider” and the recent “SuperHero Taisen” summer blockbuster.

Medicom’s official website has revealed images of their forthcoming RAH (Real Action Heroes) Space Sheriff Gavan! This high quality figure of the Metal Heroes character is not only highly detailed, but his helmet also has a “laser scope” feature included. Check out the images after the jump!
Gavan is due for release in September, priced at 19,950 yen.

An old friend of mine by the name of Professor Smooth was able to attend the premiere (and sold out) first showing of the much-anticipated movie Gokaiger vs. Gavan: THE MOVIE. He shared his summary of the movie at a post on RangerBoard.

Toei’s official Youtube account has released a short but fully subtitled video interview with actor Kenji Ohba to promote the upcoming Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs Uchuu Keiji Gavan The Movie.
Reprising his role as the Space Sheriff Gavan for the movie, Ohba is also known for his roles in the Super Sentai series’ Battle Fever J and Denji Sentai Denziman, playing Battle Kenya and Denji Blue respectively. Ohba will also be transforming into these two characters during the course of the movie.
In the interview, Ohba shares some of his experiences during filming of the original Metal Heroes series back in 1982.
