Don’t you hate it when some of the toys you want, are released towards the end of the year, scooped up before you can get to them, and not reordered? We know the feeling.

While we don’t advocate waiting until something goes on clearance before you decide to buy it, in some cases, closeout retailers are our saviours, because sometimes they’re the only places to find in-demand items phased out from mass market retail!

Case in point, today I spotted the Power Rangers Samurai Octozord at ROSS. In addition, single carded Power Rangers Samurai figures have been showing up as well. Happy hunting!

With the second season of Power Rangers Samurai set to begin airing in just over 2 weeks, possible episode titles of the Super Samurai variety have begun to hit the Internet. One such case is kyl146 over at Fuñaro Board who has listed a number of upcoming episode titles, but is unsure of their potential airing order.

The Kmart website has now put up a listing for the previously unseen Shogun Ranger Light (or Gold ranger if you’d prefer) figure from the Power Rangers Super Samurai toyline!

Standing 12″ tall, these images not only show the Shogun ranger in all its glory, but also a breakdown of the armour parts and a look at its unmasked Antonio headsculpt.

Thanks to our very own Red Ranger for the heads up on some more Power Rangers Samurai goodies that were shown at UK Toy Fair 2012. Images are from the ToyNews Facebook page, and we’ve mirrored the Power Rangers images here. Aside from the upcoming mini-figures, the newest item revealed was the Blue Shogun Ranger with removable helmet! If full articulation is your thing, this figure is for you.

The official Power Rangers facebook page has just announced that the second season of the popular Power Rangers Samurai, now titled Power Rangers Super Samurai, will premiere Saturday February 18th at 12n/11c on Nickelodeon!

Not only this, but the official Power Rangers youtube account has also uploaded a 30 second teaser trailer for the season, which can be found below. Included is our first on-screen look at the Red Ranger battlizer armour!

One of the most central, behind-the-scenes figures for many years of the original run of Power Rangers with Saban Entertainment, Tony Oliver, will be in attendance at this year’s Nan Desu Kan convention in Denver, Colorado.

Tony Oliver did many things for the Power Rangers, including but not limited to: development producer, writer, story editor, consultant for “Power Rangers: The Movie”, and more!

If you’re in or around the Denver, Colorado area this coming September 14th-16th, swing by Nan Desu Kan and meet the man behind so much of American Tokusatsu’s emergance in to mainstream North America’s pop-culture.

Attention northeast United States Tokusatsu fans!

The voice behind one of the creepiest villains of our childhoods, and probably the best villain created for a live-action kids show, Robert Axelrod, aka Lord Zedd of Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, will be in attendance at this year’s ICON 31 convention, held in Stony Brook, NY, March 30th – April 1st.

If you’re in the northeast United States, check out ICON 31 and take the chance to meet an icon of American Tokusatsu!

Hey Power Rangers fans! The voice of the original mentor, David Fielding a.k.a. Zordon in Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, is attending the upcoming Japanese pop-culture convention Tekkoshocon X[/url]! The convention is in Pittsburgh, PA on March 21st-25th.

Fans in the Northeast United States should take a moment and see if Zordon has any special words or advice for them this coming March!
