Clip of Power Rangers Megaforce Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Appearance

Posted on November 22, 2012 at 3:01 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Thanks to our friends at Megaforce Cast we have a video to share that features the appearance of the Power Rangers Megaforce as well as the previous Red Rangers.

Notably absent (at least from my eyes) is the Mighty Morphin White Ranger. Notably present was Power Rangers Super Samurai Female Red Ranger. I only bring that up as it was advertised in the press release:

Proving that saving the world requires teamwork, the Power Rangers Megaforce make their debut as they celebrate Thanksgiving by escorting the 14-foot tall Planet Earth balloon. With the help of 19 Red Rangers and a White Ranger, the ambassadors of the Power Rangers 20th anniversary, the earth is in safe hands this Turkey Day. Go Go Megaforce!

Interesting! Enjoy the video!

Special thanks to Megaforce Cast for the video as well as the press release.

SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Knight Survive Mode Review

Posted on November 22, 2012 at 1:34 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider

Another figure in the SH Figuarts line of figures from the popular Kamen Rider Ryuki series has been released – Kamen Rider Knight Survive Mode! For those unfamiliar with the series, you might have seen it in the United States a couple of years ago as Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.

We’ve mirrored a few of the images from the review here, so please click the title bar to check out just a small handful of the images. If you want to see the full gallery, you can do so by clicking here.

This is an impressive piece. But if you already have SH Figuarts Kamen Rider Knight is it really worth it? Check out the pics and decide!

TokuNation.com Gives Thanks

Posted on November 22, 2012 at 1:15 pm by Chris under Network News and Updates

To all our friends in the United States celebrating Thanksgiving today, we’d like to wish you all a very happy and safe Thanksgiving. We’d also like to take this time to share our thoughts and thankfullness as a website.

For starters, we’re thankful for TOEI for continuing the legacy that is both Kamen Rider and Super Sentai. If not for their work, a majority of us would probably never be involved or have an interest in all that they do. One has to also be thankful for Saban Brands, both for taking a chance in 1993 by adapting Zyuranger as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as well as purchasing back the brand when it seemed like it was on its last leg. And of course, Disney for keeping the brand alive long enough for such a thing to happen.

We’re thankful for Bandai of Japan and Bandai of America. Regardless of your personal feelings on how BoA changes the zords to be universal here on this side of the pond, some of their engineering and toy design is remarkable. And you can’t ignore the absolute joy that is the SH Figuarts line. Special nod to our friends at Bluefin Tamashii (USA) for giving many of us a chance to get those awesome figures.

For those in the community that put forth 110% in all the work they do (Fury Diamond we’re looking at you … and have you checked out his new Megaforce Cast website yet?!) and the others that make this hobby so much fun with the insights and information that they come across.

I know I am personally thankful for the staff of TokuNation.com … for the guys that take the time out of their day to browse for news and information to share with our viewers, to all the guys that take the time to set up a photo booth to take pictures of their toys as galleries for everyone to look at, to the amazing moderator staff that is here that has been non-stop since day one back on January 5th. Your dedication is second to none, and this site would have never grown the way it has without all of your help. Thank you.

But most of all, all of us here at TokuNation.com are thankful for YOU – the fans of Tokusatsu. Your passion for the various franchises, whether it be Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Godzilla, Ultraman, Power Rangers … it really has been YOU that has kept all of it alive for as long as it is. It is YOU that gave us the drive and motivation to create this place to work as a news/gallery/forum website for all fans to come together and discuss their love for this genre of entertainment. And it’s because of YOU that we always strive to find better ways to bring you everything you want as quickly and professionally as possible.

Hats off to you, Tokusatsu fans.

And to all those celebrating, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
