Thanks to the ever helpful dukemon22 we’ve just gotten a full synopsis for Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger! According to the official Toei webpage and dukemons’ translations:

-In Ancient Times, the Ankokushuu Deibos (Darkness Species Deibos) landed on Earth. Those who fought against it at the time were the actual Dinosaurs! The Kyoryugers’ mentor (Wise God Torin) chose 10 of these dinosaur protectors and crafted mechanical bodies to preserve them in. This confirms that Kyoryuger will features at least 10 individual dino mecha,and only 6 have been revealed so far!

-These mechanical dinosaurs are known as the Zyudenryu! Deibos was defeated by the Zyudenryu and cast into the ocean, frozen in ice.

-In the present, the Deibos are trying to revive the being they were created from, Master Deibos. Their plan involves taking the souls of humans, and offering them up to Deibos.

-To stop the Deibos, Torin selects 5 modern humans as champions. They will be known as Kyou (strong) ryu (dino/dragon) Sha(person), the Kyouryuger! These chosen warriors are pitted against the dinosaur mecha Torin created, the Zyudenryu. If they win their battles they are bonded with their Zyudenryu and become Kyoryugers!

Yet another early glimpse at the 37th Super Sentai has turned up online! This time we get a few close looks at the mecha, weapons and roll-call poses for the Dinosaur Samba team.

Zyuden Sentai KyoRyuger premieres February 17th, so stay tuned for further promos between now and then!

With news coming in thick and fast of the 37th Super Sentai team, the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, blog Alpha Hero Shock has provided a massive update of many of the characters appearing in the series.

First we have the previously rumoured villains, who are indeed known as the Devoss Gun. They are led by Chaos, the 100-face Priest. Their goal is to revive Devoss, an entity of which each general is a part of, and will be able to create DevoMonsters to fight the Kyoryugers. These generals are:

Dogold, Knight of Anger
Candelilla, Knight of Joy
Aigaron, Knight of Sadness
Luckyuro, Knight of Fun

Next we have the team’s mentor Torin the Wise God, who appears to be a bird-like creature. KyoryuRed and Green’s fathers will also appear in the show, and will be played by Shinji Yamashita and Junichi Haruta respectively.

Finally there’s the Spirit Base which will serve as the base of operations for the series. It will have a special place where the Zyudenchi (or Beast Batteries) will be stored. The list of currently known Zyudenchi is as follows:

The 37th Super Sentai may have some familiar faces in its recurring cast.

Early reports suggested that Nao Nagasawa (best known for her role as HurricaneBlue would have a semi-regular spot in the series.

Now, casting reports have confirmed two other names for the lineup- Ayumi Kinoshita also known as DekaYellow and Kenji Ebisawa (formerly Go-On Black)

Does this represent an extensive assembly of talented performers, or yet another desperate attempt to recover from their current ratings disaster? Tune in Feb. 17th to find out! :D

UPDATE: Alpha Hero Shock has uploaded images of the two as they will appear in the show. Ayumi Kinoshita will play Nobuharu/KyoryuBlue’s sister, while Kenji Ebisawa will play Ian/KyoryuBlack’s best friend. Nao Nasagawa’s role is still unconfirmed, but rumours suggest she will be appearing as a villain!

The opening theme song for the 37th Super Sentai Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger has been officially revealed! The theme is titled “Vamola (or Let’s Go) Kyoryuger!” and is performed by relatively new artist Kamata Shogo. The single of this theme will be released on March 13th but for now enjoy the free preview provided HERE by Nippon Columbia!
