New Power-Up For Beast Morphers Red Ranger Sighted?

LET’S MORPHIN!

Thanks to our friends over at The Power Scoop, new set photos were spotted online from the filming of the much anticipated Power Rangers Beast Morphers, the filming took place at Spark Arena New Zealand around December 12th 2018.

The photos show what looks to be Beast Morphers Red Ranger wearing a rather peculiar set of armor. For fans of the Super Sentai counterpart: Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters, you may know that the team acquires an upgrade called Powered Custom but the armor Red is using doesn’t appear to be Powered Custom at all but something else entirely. In addition, Beast Morpher Silver was also spotted on set.

Unfortunately, not much else is known about this cool new upgrade but it is certainly exciting to see Power Rangers own original take on the Go-Busters power sets, something that the series hasn’t really done outside of Megazord cockpits in quite awhile.

    Interesting. Really curious where this is going. And that casting sounds really curious as does the wide range it has and the names. I haven't actively sat through a full Power Rangers season with any kind of want in a bit, but this one is starting to seem like one not to miss. Really looking forward to it, and how some of these characters may grow in the future.

    Possible but who knows.

    With how Beast Morphers is built more on each Zord as an AI robo/having a partner, it would make sense each would have a ranger, like how Jungle Fury did that.

    But some of these I'm guessing might have other connections to the story too. Like the support crew and other operatives. Or possibly maybe even other connections like Enter and Escape.

    Or maybe even some kind of story point of kids that have 'grid connections' like the main trio, but these are cadets, or it's also possible we might get our first non-ranger that a Zord takes a shine to and listens to as well.

    Lots of story potential depending on how they want to approach it. I'm actually excited to see how it turns out. Haven't been this excited for PR since Overdrive, Mystic Force, and Jungle Fury. But this has got me fully hyped to see how it turns out.

    Going by the names, I'm going with "likely not" but could be. Supporting cast in other ways seems more likely though. Might be too early for that casting reveal of Gold/Silver even with them not getting suit powers until later.

    Only one of them is going to be the Gold Ranger, it was revealed at PMC that they will be using Beet J. Stag in Beast Morphers.

    Getting some massive "young melinda may" vibes off of Betty.
    Roxy seems interesting too.

    One detail on their casting that stands out is the amount of auditions and training.

    Training suggests a more active combat role of some kind. So that makes me lean Roxy at least may have some kind of tie to the Escape type character, or Betty might. Or some other kind of more active involved role than background support.
