Super Hero Taisen Z Updates: Returning Roles and Metal Hero Galleon Buster Attack

Posted on April 11, 2013 at 3:36 pm by Kiryu under Kamen Rider, Metal Heroes, Super Sentai

While previous scans for the fourth coming Super Hero Taisen Z confirmed the appearance of past Metal Heroes via Gokai Change, a new update has confirmed that sadly, the keys will only be used in a Gokai Galleon Buster attack, much like the appearance of the Kamen Rider OOO forms in last year’s Super Hero Taisen.

And while the Gokaigers are returning for this installment of Super Hero Taisen, it’s sadly been confirmed that it’ll only be in voice only, with Ryota Ozawa reprising his role as Captain Marvelous. Ayumi Kinoshinta(AKA:Jasime/DekaYellow) and Kohki Okada will also reprise their roles as Skydain and Groundain respectively.

Lastly, Toei’s official site for the film has also been updated giving a brief history of the Metal Hero franchise.

Kamen Rider moved past Decade in Let's Go, establishing all the previous Riders without having a convoluted Decade story line to go with it.
Sentai, just let go of the Gokaigers. Maybe then things won't be as disappointing.

Anyway, meh. Learning that the Metal Heroes will be devoted solely to a Galleon Buster? I really don't have any sympathies that we won't see the Gokai actors on screen.

Gai/GokaiSilver is set to appear out of suit. And, damn it, couldn't even get the rest of them to at least voice act? For shame Toei.

Eh. He's the only likable one outside of Don.
And no, no. Good call, Toei. Their presence swallows up plot and screen time like a black hole and leads to massive plot holes.

I really wish you didn't. First time these characters appeared in years and they're relegated to bitch status for a 5 second cameo being voiced by the Gokaigers?
    Man...

    Jasmine.

Yeah, I'm disappointed, too. I've accepted that Gokaiger is over, so please move on, Toei.

I agree with the RRR crew yet again in thinking that it would be good to see just a movie that teamed up wizard kyoryuger and MAYBE a metal hero or another "classic hero." It would make for a less shitty plot because they didn't need to explain EVERYONE

I also like the idea of bringing the classics back as Ranger Keys/Kamen Ride cards (as I am one of decade's few supporters) it brings them back without being as stupid as the cameos in Let's Go Kamen Rider which were almost literally "we're here too!" I agree that decade/gokaiger have been overused but they are kinda like the seven heroes to be them all... Sorry for that. But I would rather see the whole hey look at these cool cards/keys thing again then have the condensed backstory or totally unexplained appearance of a hero I know almost nothing about shoved down my throat.

Sorry for the long post and my controversial opinions

I must be a rare case. Yes the Kamen Rider OOO Gokai Change was too brief in the last film and the Metal Hero one will surely be too brief this time around. But it's still awesome. The only making me sad is that we don't get to see the whole team out of suit again But I am very pleased we get to at least see Gai as a main character!
