SDCC 2013 Godzilla 2014 Film Info

The WB and Legendary Pictures panel/screening has just wrapped at SDCC 2013 and we have some serious news regarding the Godzilla 2014 film! Luke Y. Thompson of Topless Robot attended the screening and had this to say in regards to the Godzilla footage shown:

Roll teaser. Looks like they’re playing up the nuclear aspect – lots of radiation suits, scared reaction shots, helicopters attacking…a giant spider monster thing? (Think the Acklay from Attack of the Clones). Then the giant foot comes into screen – Godzilla is ready to fight this sumbitch! We don’t see his face, but the body looks just like the familiar one we all know. The battle is at night, though, so it’s hard to judge if he’s more green or gray.

So we’ve now got confirmation of at least one other monster, possibly more than one, for the film! Filming just wrapped up 2 days ago but it sounds like the movie is really shaping up and based on audience applause we won’t be disappointed. We’ll keep you posted as more information becomes available!

    Interestingly enough, the Godzilla news has been what I've been clamoring most for from SDCC. Any word on the reveal of the vinyl?

    I don't have much faith in Gareth Edwards but so far the film sounds OK.

    Hope we get to see the real design soon and not a bunch more teases.

    Haven't seen anything on the vinyl yet I'm afraid. No one else has images/confirmation either. But as soon as something gets out we'll know too

    Well, their is a rumor going around that the whole vinyl figure isnt goign to be revealed. We were just lead to belive that. It was still a work in progress. But then again.. thats just a rumor.

    This movie is going be great. Will it be all new monsters Godzilla fights or King Ghidorah made cameo? Excited about this.
    Still upset Godzilla 3D was cancelled. Never see Deathla.

    We're getting Vinyl figures for this movie?! I haven't heard anything about that yet! It'd be cool if they had a classics type thing where they had older older vinyls re-released.
