Power Rangers Megaforce Halloween Episode "Raising Spirits" Preview

Posted on October 16, 2013 at 1:05 am by Chris under Power Rangers

Ever since Saban Brands purchased back the rights to Power Rangers, they’ve treated viewers with both a Halloween episode and a Christmas-themed episode. This year’s installment of the Halloween special is titled “Raising Spirits”, and there’s a clip available at Nickelodeon’s website.

The clip doesn’t reveal much – though we laugh at the unintentional foreshadowing as Ernie is dressed as a pirate.

Special thanks to @SilurianRanger on Twitter for the heads up!

Alternate Kamen Rider Gaim Form Secretly Previewed?

Posted on October 15, 2013 at 9:42 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

On more than one occasion we’ve brought you the news of possible new riders and forms in Kamen Rider Gaim. The new Energy Riders Rain, Do-Q & O-Gi earlier today, the Genesis Driver Initial Scans, and the first Peach Energy Seed info.

Well today we bring your attention to something that you may not have noticed if you didn’t look carefully. Just after the Kamen Rider Gaim opening theme plays, as with all tokusatsus, the sponsor credits roll. In Gaim’s case as the sponsors roll by he mounts his bike the Sakura Hurricane, and after the camera pans down to a floor full of locks. Looking at the reflection Gaim casts it’s very apparent that we’re looking at a completely different helmet and possibly suit design. Perhaps even a new Gaim form!

The reflection shows a Gaim with a much more pronounced helmet that would have been common of a warrior from the Sengoku era. We also see that the normally off center crest on his helmet is actually a trident! And it would appear that his visor is deep red rather than standard orange. This form should not be confused with the previously confirmed Warrior God Gaim/Blod Orange Gaim. This could be an entirely new form for Gaim that was unknown til now!

Kamen Rider Gaim Toy Listings Confirm New Energy Riders

Posted on October 15, 2013 at 3:12 pm by Paladin under Kamen Rider

Yet another new toy listing for this brand-new Rider series has turned up online! This gives us more details about the previously-revealed “Genesis Driver” that vitalizes energy from the LockSeeds.

Going by the listings, Riders who use the Genesis Driver shall be known as “Energy Riders” (as opposed to Gaim currently being known as “Armored Rider when using the Sengoku Driver).

In addition, the scans reveal three new Energy Riders for the series, tentatively referred to as Kamen Riders Rain, Do-Q and O-gi. This information appears to support the theory of additional FEMALE Riders in this series!

With these three new introductions (and the apparent Movie War Exclusive previously shown), Gaim is now up to NINE Kamen Riders. And we’re only two episodes in folks! :)

66action Kamen Rider

Posted on October 15, 2013 at 3:27 am by Shin Densetsu under Kamen Rider

TAG Hobby has posted a scan and new images of a new line from Bandai coming in January 2014, 66action Kamen Rider! These figures are 380 yen each and are blind-boxed figures. The style is similar to Super Deformed(SD) and the figures sport full articulation. The blind-box format and articulation are reminiscent of Bandai’s other similar lines such as Gundam Assault Kingdom and that one Evangelion micro-figure line.

Each case ships with 10 individually boxed figures. In wave 1 there are 4 different figures:

66action Kamen Rider Series 1

  • Kamen Rider 1
  • Kamen Rider Decade
  • Kamen Rider OOO
  • Kamen Rider Gaim
Read on to check out the new images.

Power Rangers Megaforce Final Episodes Spoilers

Posted on October 14, 2013 at 11:19 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

We’re writing this post with the assumption that you, the casual viewer, has never seen the Sentai version of Power Rangers Megaforce titled Goseiger, nor the Super Sentai anniversary season that followed, titled Gokaiger. So if you HAVE seen them – this news story will bore you, except for maybe seeing how it’s adapted for American audiences.

If you HAVEN’T seen them, you yourself can be spoiled if you like! Let’s just ask some questions…

Who is Metal Alice? What’s going to happen to Vrak? Who is The Messenger, and what is this Armada he keeps speaking of? And whatever happened with Troy’s legendary dream with a ton of Power Rangers fighting a big army?

All is revealed in these final 5 episodes of Power Rangers Megaforce, to be followed in 2014 with Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

Our good friend Fury Diamond knows, as he’s caught up on these episodes (via international airing). And you know what? You can read all about the spoilers by clicking here to visit his blog!

Needless to say, it appears the finale will be MEGA. And that next season is just going to be … SUPER MEGA. (You ever wonder if the Super Megaforce Rangers will have an Ultra mode, and be called Super Ultra Megaforce?)

New Listings for Power Rangers Super Megaforce in Target Walmart &Toys’R’Us Computers

Let it be known that if you ever need to find something in a database relating to Power Rangers toys, then TokuNation.com member raz is the man you want to pay attention to. Only days after our two different interviews with Bandai of America at NYCC 2013, raz dug up a ton of information in the computers of both Target and Toys’R’Us.

Included in this news post are the images from the Target screens. We’ve also copied a number of his discoveries in the second post of this thread – including a number of items that relate to everything from Wild Force to Samurai toy-wise.

Check it!

Thanks to raz for being so devoted to getting the information!

Additional Interview With Bandai Of America at NYCC 2013

Posted on October 13, 2013 at 11:16 am by Den-O under New York Comic Con

Once again our very own administrator Sentai Tamashii has sat down with Bandai Of America reps to discuss the upcoming Power Rangers Super Megaforce toyline!

Super Megaforce Ranger figures
will be divided into 4″ and 5″ categories. 4″ figures will feature less articulation and paint apps compared to the 5″ figures.

Legendary Zords and Vehicles
All additional vehicles/zords that can combine with the Legendary Megazord will come with a Ranger Key specific to the series the vehicle represents. The other vehicles shown to be able to combine with the Legendary Megazord on display will have uniform names. “Insert series name” Cycle. So for the bikes on display currently they’d be the Lightspeed Rescue Cycle and the Time Force Cycle. The Zeo vehicle seen on display is called the Red Battlezord Car. And the 2 additional robots seen on display in front of the Legendary Megazord are called Exozords and can accommodate Ranger figures to pilot them.

Ranger Keys
will initially be sold with other toys in the line. They will later be sold in a 3-Pack format but there are currently NO PLANS to offer the keys in full ranger team sets. Additionally the flip gimmick is not activated by any sort of button at all. You push the edge of the key and it flips automatically. The Wild Force Red Lion Zord also features a ranger key gimmick. One can be inserted behind it’s head but there are no electronics present for it to activate. Only an action feature.

And this rounds out our last interview with BOA at NYCC 2013! On behalf of the entire community we’d like to thank them for sitting down to take the time to have a discussion with Sentai Tamashii! They were kind enough to take a look at our little operation here and have expressed an interest in working with us in the future to promote even better Power Rangers products! We’re happy to help in any way we can!

TokuNation.com Interview with Bandai of America at NYCC 2013

Posted on October 11, 2013 at 1:48 pm by Chris under New York Comic Con

Our administrator Sentai Tamashii sat down with Brehan Maul of Bandai of America who was kind enough to answer a variety of questions that we submitted from you, our users. So let’s dive straight in to them, shall we?

Regarding the Legendary Morpher[/u]
For starters – yes, the Legendary Morpher does open and close clam-shell like, just like the show. Also, the keypad is fully functional. Each Ranger Key is unique, and will unlock a unique sound when used. Also, when you turn certain keys in immediate sequence (example: Super Megaforce Red, then Blue, then Green, then Yellow, then Pink) you will unlock a special sound. There will be many special combinations that will be leaked after release. It was not stated outright, but it was implied that the Legendary Morpher has a larger sound-bank than the Gokaiger Mobirate.

Regarding Ranger Keys[/u]
While they couldn’t come right out and say if we would be getting a Ranger Key of any of the exclusive Power Rangers (Titanium, Elephant, Shark, Bat), it was stated that yes, Super Megaforce will have USA exclusive Ranger Keys that Japan did not get. Again, each key is unique and will unlock a special sound in the Legendary Morpher. Also, each key has a graphic that you can scan with an upcoming app that will then unlock that Power Ranger in the app.

Regarding Legacy items for Collectors[/u]
For starters, if you thought the Legacy Dragon Dagger looked impressive, check out this fact – the sample is all plastic! The final release will not be all plastic, though they did state that for safety reasons, the blade of the dagger will NOT be diecast metal. And for those wondering – the Legacy Dragon Dagger and Legacy Dragonzord are NOT the final Legacy items. There are more planned. Bandai of America would like to move on to series other than Mighty Morphin but nothing is planned at this time. So the future Legacy items will continue to be Mighty Morphin themed.

Regarding the Power Rangers Action Card Game[/u]
The Power Rangers ACG will continue through Super Megaforce.

Again, a huge thank you to Brehan Maul from Bandai of America for taking the time to not only answer our questions, but to GET answers he didn’t have, as well as putting up with some of Sentai Tamashii’s technical difficulties. We will have a video of this interview after the convention is over.

So what do you think? We will do a quick run-by follow up on Sunday, so if we missed anything dire (they can’t always comment on things because marketing is different than development and some things aren’t finalized) please feel free to post it here.

Exciting year ahead of us!
