And there’s more! As an added bonus we’re also viewing the Hyper Battle Video for the series Blade VS. Blade! A Trial Series Undead will attempt to become Kenzaki, and the other riders will have to figure out which is which (it should be easy).

The end is here, again! After the finale of Kamen Rider Blade we now have the movie, Missing Ace. An alternate take on the series ending where Joker/Hajime was indeed sealed and the Undead taken care. Or were they? A new generation is here!
Another Joker exists, the Albino...
The Battle Fight begins anew!
3 new riders take up the cause, Glaive, Larc, & Lance!
And we're also checking out the Hyper Battle Video Blade VS Blade. A Trial Series Undead left over from Trial B's program will steal Kenzaki's appearance and copy his powers. Hilarity will ensue!
So Let's Watch Missing Ace and Blade VS Blade!

I liked the Blade episodes of Decade and the Rider designs from DiEnd world but I've never gone back and watched it. Guess this is as good a reason as any haha

Not to detract from Missing Ace and its proof that Amane is an intolerable twit regardless of the actress playing her, should we not be nominating shows for the next round of LWW soon?

At last we come to Missing Ace, and what an utter insult this piece of nonsense is. It is like the writers took everything that made Blade good and did the exact opposite in this movie. Where to start?
First off, I like the idea of a rider movie that takes place several years later, and seeing what the characters are doing, but here, it just doesn't make sense. None of the characters look like they have aged as they should (for obvious reasons), especially Mutsuki, and they don't even feel like the same characters. Kotaro might have been foolish, but he is not the type of person that would get all snooty because he became a top selling author. At least, not to the degree he did. It also seems like they had no idea how to write Tachibana or Hirose, as they were both extremely out of character. The only one who seemed to be fine was Blade, but even he is a little awkward. Them aside, the three new riders are completely unlikable characters as they have no personalities, no growth, and two of them are just there just to die. That is really poor writing as their deaths feel empty and the viewer has no reason to care for them.
Oh my god, and if you can give me a single reason as to why Amane should have been saved, let me know, because I cannot think of one. They should have just let the Undead kill that damn bitch!!!
The story itself has plot holes so big that Optimus Prime can drive through them. Why did it take them four years to find out that Karasuma was dead? That the cards had been unsealed? Why did it take four years for the Undead to even attack? Also, it makes no sense why none of the kings have any type of personality, they are all just mindless creatures.
The fight scenes are okay but the Aces are too quick to just attack the "old" riders for no reason. I guess you could say it was because they were under the control of Junichi, but it just comes off as forced when there is no story to back it up. The "plot twist was incredibly lame and predictable. There is nothing in this movie that works.
Even the final fight between Blade and Joker at the beginning of the movie does not work for me. Am I honestly supposed to believe that Blade would just beat Hajime like that and seal him up? Again, it just goes against his character. I also hate these stupid alternate reality stories as they never work well. To be fair though, the fight itself is pretty awesome from a choreography stand point, and I do wish we had gotten a similar setting in the last episode of the series, but the outcome is just poorly done. It could have worked had the writing been there to justify it, but here, it just feels like it was done because that is not how it was going to happen in the series.
And I honestly felt there was no purpose for Chalice to be in this movie at all. Sure, it is cool seeing all four riders together, but that scene was over quickly and even felt tacked on for fanservice over writing. Hajime has no development whatsoever.
There are more issues I have with the movie I'll bring up later, but I do not have time for right now. I give this movie a 3/10 and that is because of the fight at the beginning of the movie and its music.

This movie was a great "What if...?" kind of thing showing what happened after Joker was sealed. I also love the design and weapons of the new rider trio. It was weird how the female rider had a weapon (that you can consider) is like a hybrid of Garren's and Chalice's weapon. Overall I liked the movie and I give it a 6.5/10.
Blade Vs. Blade was nice and love how they threw in a little hilarity into it by having Mutsuki and Tachibana hitting Kenzaki with whatever weapon they had thinking he was the fake. For this HBV I give it a 7/10.

Missing Ace was... okay. Really, the plot with the other 2 ace riders and the reunion of everyone was okay at best. Albino Joker stuff was interesting but made me just go "meh". Hajime doesn't even show up for any good stretch of time until the last 3rd of the movie.
The best parts, were the fight scenes between Blade and Joker in the rain and the end with King form slashing the shit out of Jashin 14. Along with Hajime sacrificing himself for Amane and to stop the Albino Joker. This wasn't the best alternate ending I've seen but I can definitely see a similar version of Kenzaki making the choice to seal Hajime. Its better then Episode Final's 'Yeah let's just have an inconsistent origin of the Rider War between the movie and the show thus retroactively changing it but let's call it an alternate ending anyway."
Again, I have to compliment the movie for looking glorious in HD. The early heisei movies just blow me away with how good it looks in HD and this is no exception. You can really appreciate the suits' detail once you see them in HD.
Blade vs Blade actually has my favorite fight scene from the series in it, with Blade using Remote to distact fake Blade and using Gemini to use his Rouze absorber to go into both Jack and King form at the same time.
LOL at the use of Garren and Lenagle's Rouzers out of suit.

Blade vs. Blade: Yeah definitely a Hyper Battle Video. Having Mutsuki and Tachibana suddenly pulling their weapons out as civilians and fail to identify Kenzaki was amusing, as was Hajime figuring out who the real Blade was by the response time. Seeing Jack and King Form side by was pretty cool.
Missing Ace: Assholish characters that are quick to get into a fight for no reason? Yup, this is an Inoue at his finest. I'm not one who usually gets character hate, but damn Amane was a bitch in this. The Albino Joker was an interesting concept, but I'm disappointed that the final show down was King Form destroying a giant CGI monster.
