Pacific Rim at ToyFair 2014- Closer Look at Upcoming Kaiju & Jaegers!

Posted on February 16, 2014 at 3:55 pm by Paladin under General Tokusatsu News

NECA’s ToyFair display includes an impressive display of Pacific Rim figures!

In addition to the already-released Gipsy Danger & Knifehead toys, we also have a close look at the upcoming “TRESPASSER” Kaiju along with two more Jaeger figures: the Russian Cherno Alpha and the Japanese Coyote Tango, both impressive (if probable final) entries in the Pacific Rim toyline.

Be sure to check out ToyArk’s full Pacific Rim Toyfair gallery!

They look okay. A minimal, not marked, improvement. But ultimately in-hand accounts will determine.

Sadly, a year(ish) too late. These should have been out a long time ago.

    No kidding.

And better yet, wave four Kaiju are Scunner (a fairly involved Knifehead retool) and Axehead, the retro-actively named Trespasser, who is exactly like Trespasser except they're basing it off old concept art where he has a slightly different back. (they say he'll have more differences, but there aren't)

That's right. A piece of outdated concept art gets the cut. They're REALLY milking that mould, yet not giving any important Kaiju like Onibaba or Otatchi. It's quite depressing.

But hey, 18" Cherno Alpha confirmed.

I want to say I still want Tango. But that's literally all I can bring myself to spend money on. The other looks nice but it's too little too late.

Maybe this is why the license has now become "pending."

I really hope Tango and Alpha turn out well. I just rewatched the movie this weekend and got sad that there still aren't any good toys for the movie.

I still dont even have Striker Eureka or Gypsy (only two I wanted), and I hate the way NECA made these things honestly. I am holding out hope that Tamashii Nations can get ahold of the license.

They've expressed interest, and acknowledged the following and demand for figures.

Reason I am holding out hope. I think it was SDCC or NYCC they said that
