Robot Spirits 7-11 Japan Exclusive Gipsy Avenger Clear Blueprint Version Gallery

Posted on May 6, 2018 at 4:38 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News, TokuNation, TokuNation Site Updates, TokuNation Spotlights

“Born Ready. War Ready.”

Last month we took you on a tour of all things Pacific Rim Uprising with a complete look at the line of Robot Spirits figures produced for the film from Tamashii Nations. 6 solid releases, each with it’s own strengths and weaknesses. Gipsy Avenger, Obsidian Fury, Titan Redeemer & Bracer Phoenix, and Guardian Bravo & Saber Athena. Now, we get to add an extra step on that journey with a look a this recent 7-11 Japan Exclusive release, Robot Spirits Gipsy Avenger Clear Blueprint Version!

Blueprint Gipsy Avenger takes a mold we’re very familiar with at this point, an excellent one at that, and recasts the entire thing in gorgeous translucent blue with ice blue accents. Physically the figure functions entirely the same way, but it’s astounding how different and good it can look in these new colors. Equipped with the same Gravity Sling and Chain Sword as the original release, Blueprint Gipsy is a fantastic exclusive that may not be for everyone, but if you love this franchise, it’s a must own.

We’ve put together just over 60 images of this beauty for your viewing pleasure. You can check out out the full gallery and review after the jump by clicking “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post. Coming up soon we check out new releases from Kamen Rider Kabuto & Kamen Rider W!

Soul Of Chogokin GX-77 Gipsy Danger Jaeger Price & Release Details Confirmed!

Posted on July 21, 2017 at 8:29 am by Paladin under General Tokusatsu News

After an exciting teaser earlier this year, the iconic Jaeger Gipsy Danger from fan-favorite monster/robot action movie Pacific Rim is officially joining the Soul of Chogokin action figure series!

Designated as release number GX-77 in the Soul of Chogokin lineup, Gipsy Danger is recreated in exquisite detail, featuring a variety of screen-accurate weapons (including the carrier ship used as an impromptu club at one memorable moment). An electronic feature is also included- lights are planted in Gipsy’s head, chest and plasma-cannon arms.

GX-77 Gipsy Danger is currently scheduled for release in February 2018! The price is a sound 27000 Yen (or roughly $243 USD at current exchange rate). This figure is now available for preorder at all major tokusatsu retailers!

High Definition Pictures of Soul of Chogokin Pacific Rim Gipsy Danger Jaeger

Posted on April 29, 2017 at 6:32 pm by Toku Chris under Conventions, General Tokusatsu News, Other Conventions

Out of left field earlier today came the reveal of the Soul of Chogokin Gipsy Danger Jaeger figure from the Pacific Rim movie. It was on display at the Tamashii Nations Event in New York City, of which we had a couple of staffers attend. Our team dug through the high definition pictures and found three great images that give us a feel of what this figure is going to bring.

Check them out after the jump! Will you be purchasing this figure, especially with a Pacific Rim sequel coming out? Sound off in our discussion thread!

Soul Of Chogokin Gipsy Danger Jaeger Revealed At Tamashii New York!

Posted on April 29, 2017 at 9:03 am by Paladin under General Tokusatsu News

Some time ago, it was reported that Bandai Tamashii had obtained the rights to Pacific Rim and would be producing new toys based on the fan-favorite film.

Well, at last we see the first release under this license: a new version of the Jaeger Gipsy Danger as part of Bandai’s iconic Soul of Chogokin collector series! The massive fighting robot is recreated in brilliant diecast glory!

Sadly, no other information about this figure (including price & release date) is available at time of writing. Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on this exciting release!
