The ultimate form for Jayden the Red Ranger of the Power Rangers Samurai/Super Samurai was the powerful Shogun Mode. With this mode, he was able to defeat the evil Master Xandred once and for all! And thanks to TokuNation.com photo staff member conundrum, we have a special gallery for you to celebrate that final mode and that final battle of Power Rangers Super Samurai!
Clocking in with 17 points of articulation and a nifty crimson paint job, the Shogun Mode Red Ranger figure is a pretty slick looking figure! It even comes with the Bullzooka and the Mega Blade, which with this toy, can combine to form the Shogun Spear. Power Rangers Super Megaforce is in full swing and the latest episode, Samurai Surprise, featured the debut of the Legendary Samurai Ranger powers.
In recognition of this, we're taking a look at possibly one of the nicest figures released in the Power Rangers Samurai line of 4 inch figures, the Shogun Red Ranger!
Shogun Mode is a form exclusive to Power Rangers and is essentially a Battilizer, although it can be accessed by all members of the team and not just the Red Ranger through the use of the Shogun Buckle.
Again, the Shogun Ranger stands at approximately 4 inches tall and has a respectable 17 points of articulation. The majority of the figure is molded in an accurate 'crimson' shade rather than the bright red of the normal Samurai Red figures. There are a lot of nice sculpted and painted details all over the figure, including a well done 'Shogun Buckle'. The large shoulder pads are not fixed and do not hinder much movement in the arms. Due to the larger skirt pieces, forward and back leg movement is restricted but the figure can still 'split' fairly well.
Two weapons are included with the figure, a Mega Blade and Bull Bazooka. The two weapons can combine together to form the Shogun Spear. Each weapon lacks any paint details but both have a lot of finer sculpted ones. The Shogun Spear is a rather impressive weapon and holds together pretty.
All in all, this Shogun Ranger is one of the best representations of this U.S. Exclusive suit and one of the easiest to find.

I gotta give it to Saban, they made one bad ass design with this.

It's a shame this was only used in the show for about ten seconds.

I always thought the Shogun Ranger form was pretty good. One of my favorite things to come from Samurai. The shoulder pads were ridiculously huge, but I like it's overall design regardless.

I'd love a Figuart of this. It will never happen though because there is no real reason to make one, but I'd still want it.

Not gonna lie, I just bought one of these off of eBay for six quid. This badass form, and how I have no Power Rangers in my life because of the shitty Super Megaforce, really makes me want to try Samurai.

I do love the designs of the Shogun Modes. I really was not a fan of the Mega Modes, but I think the Shoguns worked really well as an ultimate version of the Samurai Rangers. Its a shame that we never actually saw Green and Yellow outside of the transformation sequence.
Also noticable, while the Shogun Red doesn't come with it, the Bullzooka has a slot for the Super Sword that the Super Red, Green and Blue come with to become the Super Bullzooka.
