It’s been a few weeks since a new episode of Power Rangers Super Megaforce aired. So how about we qeunch your thirst for more Super Mega Wins with this gallery of Prince Vekar & the X Borg! Thanks to Photo & Content staff member conundrum for contributing this one!
Just now making their way to retail, Vekar & X Borg are a part of the later assortments of 5″ Super Megaforce figures. So far these guys are the only villains in the line but the last couple years have shown us that the selection of bad guys in toy form tends to be limited. Both Prince Vekar & X Borg are affordable figures that are surprisingly better than the rangers themselves in terms of quality.

Power Rangers Super Megaforce is taking a break from airing a new episode this week, but that doesn't mean Tokunation.com can't bring you another Super Mega gallery of Prince Vekar and the Xborg from the 5 inch line!
Not part of the 'first wave' of SMF figures that came out in early January, Prince Vekar and Xborg have just now begun to trickle out at retail stores and online.
The Xborg is this year's henchman, an adaptation of the Gormin Sailors from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. The Xborg figure stands of course at approximately 5 inches tall and has a fair 17 points of articulation including 360º rotation at the head, shoulders, wrists, and ankles. Unlike the SMF Rangers and Prince Vekar that have skirts and shoulder pads that get in the way of movement, Xborg has nothing to limit his articulation. The figure has a fair amount of sculpted detail and the paint job (whether intentional or not) gives a nice weathered look to it. The Xborg only comes with one accessory, a short club/mace.
Prince Vekar too stands at approximately 5 inches tall and only has 13 points of articulation, most of which is hindered by the large shoulder pads and long coattails. The figure's wrists can technically turn 360º, but the large tassels make it difficult to do so. Vekar has a fair amount of sculpted and painted detail, but the omission of paint to the 'medals' on his chest is a bit glaring. I do like the blue they chose for the figure, it really pops with the molded white and additional silver/gold accents on the figure. Vekar does not come with any weapons/accessories.
For me, the Prince Vekar and Xborg figures from the Super Megaforce 5 inch line are easily better than the Rangers released so far.

Maybe I'll get an X-Borg just to give my Figuarts something to pose on top of.

I love that wacky Prince
ZeoRangerV says
Yeah, I think I'll pick up 2 of those X-Borgs when they hit the UK to flank Warz.
Great gallery!

Will it be cheaper to get these from the states, you reckon Zeo? I remember seeing them pissant Megaforce figures for like a tenner or more in shops when you could get them for like three pounds on eBay
ZeoRangerV says
Maybe, I've not actually looked at the prices these are going for on eBay
Plus there's the fact I think we're due these in something like June, which is pretty ridiculous given Super Megaforce toys hit the US about 6 months ago.

It's kinda sad how far behind we are. I kinda wanna get the Super Megaforce weapons as well, just because they look like more accurate depictions of the Gokaiger weapons.
