One of the most anticipated S.H. Figuarts of the year has just been released! S.H. Figuarts Tricera Ranger is of course from the classic series Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. Or if you’re picking up the US release then he’s the original Blue Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers! Either way this is one fantastic figure to add to your collection!
On his own Tricera Ranger is an absolutely gorgeous figure. In this photographers opinion he’s the best of the Zyurangers released thus far. This figure nails the look of his onscreen counterpart near perfectly. As you can see from the images in this and our previous Zyuranger/MMPR galleries, Tricera/Blue Ranger is perfectly suited to vehicles released in both the MMPR & Zyuranger toylines, just like his team mates Dan/Billy will look right at home on any of them.
Tricera Ranger includes not only the standard accessories of extra hands, a Ranger Stick, and Ranger Slinger. But he also comes with his signature Tricera Lances as well as their combined form. AND he includes the newly molded Sabre Daggers & Ptera Arrow necessary to form the Howling Cannon! Of course for our Power Rangers fans out there that means you just got 2 steps closer to forming the Power Blaster! These accessories, as well as those included with S.H. Figuarts Mammoth Ranger gets us most of the way there, but the appropriate Mammoth Breaker will be included with the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Tiger Ranger.
If you’re on the fence about this figure, don’t be. S.H. Figuarts Tricera Ranger/Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger will not disappoint. Click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” at the bottom of this post to see over 60 images of this wonderful figure!

Tricera Ranger, Dan!
One of the most anticipated S.H. Figuarts of the year has just been released. S.H. Figuarts Tricera Ranger from the classic series Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. Or if you're picking up the US release then he's the original Blue Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!
**Post #2 contains tons of images as well. Check out all of them!
Tricera Ranger was just released as a Tamashii Web Exclusive in Japan. A US release by Bluefin is also coming up very very soon. With Tricera Ranger's release the Zyurangers and original Power Rangers are down to just a single pending release to complete each team! The upcoming Tiger Ranger/Yellow Ranger will finally finish off this fantastic set!
S.H.Figuarts Tricera Ranger comes packaged in the now standard windowless box style of recent Web Exclusives. But once you have the figure out of the box, you'll never want to put it down. Tricera Ranger is absolutely gorgeous. I said in my previous review of S.H. Figuarts Mammoth Ranger that he was my favorite at that time. Well Tricera ranger has officially knocked him out of that spot. This guy is fantastic. Crisp paint applications, and the perfect shade of blue will make you fall in love with this figure. There's not much more that can be said that I haven't said 5 timesalready with previous Zyuranger galleries. They're all top notch. And this one is a perfect example of the quality of these figures.
Accessories
Tricera Ranger comes with possibly the most accessories of any of the Zyuranger releases. At least in terms of them being unique. Dan includes 3 alternate sets of hands, two set of open types for weapon holding, and one set of curled knuckle types for fighting stances. He also includes his signature Tricera Lances in two forms, separate and combined short staff. Sadly he does not include an extended version of the staff, but it was used on rare occasions in show. Also included is the traditional Ranger Stick in it's standard form, as well as the combined Ranger Slinger weapon.
The rest of Dan's accessories are dedicated to building the Howling Cannon! Beginning with Mammoth Ranger each Zyuranger figuart includes some of the accessories needed to assemble the Howling Cannon. Mammoth included the Ryugekiken and Tricera Lances, Tricera Ranger includes the Ptera Arrow and Sabre Daggers. It should be noted that the axe included with Mammoth Ranger DOES NOT allow you to create the Howling Cannon. He only comes with the axe form of the Mammoth Breaker, not the gun form necessary to complete the Howling Cannon.
The Tricera Lances Mammoth Ranger includes are molded in a different size with additional tabs to make the Howling Cannon, so the Lances that come standard with Tricera are not compatible. Likewise the Sabre Daggers which Tricera Ranger comes with are meant for the Howling Cannon and differ from what will be included with the actual S.H. Figuarts Tiger Ranger. The Ptera Arrow included with Tricera is likewise larger and molded with additional tabs to create the cannon, when compared to the one included with Ptera Ranger. This whole thing is meant to ensure that you can display your individual Zyurangers with their weapons AND still be able to create the cannon.
Overall
If you haven't been impressed yet by the Zyuranger/Power Rangers releases in this line, and this one didn't do the trick, I don't know what will. S.H. Figuarts Tricera Ranger is absolutely perfect, aside from the lance issue which really isn't a big deal to me personally. He's easily the most well constructed of the Zyurangers I own. He includes a plethora of accessories. And damn it all he looks GOOD with sentai blues and other blue toku heroes. Do yourself a favor and pick up this exquisite figure ASAP.

Aside from the lance, this guy is so dead-on perfect to the real deal from the show.
I love the color blue they use as well, it just stands out so well.
Anyone planning on getting a MMPR Blue Ranger version to have David Yost sign at the upcoming convention?
