Medicom Premium Club Real Action Hero DX Inazuman

Posted on September 23, 2014 at 10:47 pm by Den-O under General Tokusatsu News

Medicom has just announced/revealed their next upcoming Premium Club release. A true 70’s classic, it’s Real Action Heroes DX Inazuman!

Inazuman is finally getting the 1/6 scale premium figure treatment with this release and it really does the premium aspect justice. Sold exclusively through the Medicom Premium Club this figure will retail for a whopping 22,000 yen & be released in June 2015. With a high end figure like this coming along, could we see an S.H. Figuart in the near future?

He's a henshin hero that Shotaro Ishinomori created. He started out with his own toku show and then went on to appear in manga and anime. He's in the same class as guys like Zubat that aren't Sentai, Kamen Rider, Ultraman, or Metal Heroes, but still henshin are are toku.

Ah. So is Zubat the Pokemon named after Zubat the henshin hero, or is it the other way around?

Zubat the hero's been around since the 70's. The Pokemon I can't say is named actually after him but that's the closest connection to make.

They're both puns on Zubatto, which is a Japanese onomatopoeia referencing the sound of a very precise strike, such as hitting a bullseye.

Zubat, Kikaider, Kikaider 01, & Inazuman appeared in Let's Go Kamen Riders, which was the 40th anniversary film. The 4 of them were on the outskirts of the city waiting for any bad guys who tried to escape. The guy they wound up running into, and whose ass they soundly kicked, was General Shadow.
