At Power Morphicon 2012, Saban Brands stated that Power Rangers Megaforce/Super Megaforce would be the largest budget spent on Power Rangers in a long, long time. They said this was the anniversary season for the fans – from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers homages galore in Power Rangers Megaforce to Legendary Rangers throughout Power Rangers Super Megaforce. Despite many personal, vocal opinions from Ranger Nation, the show continued to do what it does best – entertain children and promote toy sales. And thus, tomorrow, another series of Power Rangers comes to a close.
Tomorrow morning, Power Rangers Super Megaforce will come to a close with the episode Legendary Battle, featuring the return of previous Power Rangers including the iconic Jason David Frank as Tommy Oliver, the original Mighty Morphin Green Ranger. This marks the end of one chapter of Power Rangers and at the same time, opens a new chapter when Power Rangers Dino Charge premieres in February 2015, which is slowly becoming one of the most anticipated Power Rangers shows in recent memory, due mostly to the involvement of famed Power Rangers crew veteran Judd Lynn and an extremely likable (and open!) cast.
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last 18 months, here’s the list of returning Power Rangers in the final episode of Power Rangers Super Megaforce:
- Jason David Frank as Tommy, the Mighty Morphin Green Ranger
- Selwyn Ward as TJ, the In Space Blue Ranger
- Patricia Ja Lee as Cassie, the In Space Pink Ranger
- Danny Slavin as Leo, the Lost Galaxy Red Ranger
- Reggie Rolle as Damon, the Lost Galaxy Green Ranger
- Melody Perkins as Karone, the Lost Galaxy Pink Ranger
- Sean CW Johnson as Carter, the Lightspeed Rescue Red Ranger
- Alison MacInnis as Dana, the Lightspeed Rescue Pink Ranger
- Jason Faunt as Wes, the Time Force Red Ranger
- Hector David Jr. as Mike, the Green Samurai Ranger
- Brittany Pirtle as Emily, the Yellow Samurai Ranger

This is it.
Emperor Mavro and the Armada have launched their final attack on the Power Rangers. The zords are all destroyed. The city is in ruins. Orion, the Silver Ranger, has left Earth after believing the Armada to be finished. The Power Rangers are out-numbered and out-armored.
This is it - the final battle. But this time, the Power Rangers won't have to do it alone. The series finale of Power Rangers Super Megaforce includes the Legendary Battle, bringing back previous series Power Rangers to fight alongside the Power Rangers Super Megaforce, including the iconic Tommy, the original Mighty Morphin Green Ranger.
Please vote and discuss the episode. What a ride this year has been!

i still get the feeling that the legendary battle will suck though at least the trailer for dino charge will help me get through it, oh also was there any reason they really needed orion to leave earth?

The extended is showing The Wrath and Legandary Battle together, so it's an extra 15 minutes. Most likely without the "to be continued" after The Wrath.
The cast did more ADR for both episodes. If there are still showing commercials, I think we're looking at around 5 maybe 6 more minutes of unseen footage for each episode. Unless they're just putting all tat new footage in Legendary Battle.
Honestly, I'm not expecting much more than fight footage, but if we do get more, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

After watching Legendary Battle (thanks, Netflix), I can say that it wasn't as bad as the rest of the season. I am still pissed at what they did to Titanium's helmet.

Fanservice in these first few minutes is not too badly handled. Tommy's scene irks me though.
Those past Rangers really show their age.
Also, Countdown to Destruction did this "Darkest Hour and the Rangers are Nowhere to be Found" thing WAY better because I was at least more invested.
