Power Rangers Super Megaforce Season Finale – Legendary Battle – Airs Tomorrow on Nickelodeon

Posted on November 21, 2014 at 9:32 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

At Power Morphicon 2012, Saban Brands stated that Power Rangers Megaforce/Super Megaforce would be the largest budget spent on Power Rangers in a long, long time. They said this was the anniversary season for the fans – from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers homages galore in Power Rangers Megaforce to Legendary Rangers throughout Power Rangers Super Megaforce. Despite many personal, vocal opinions from Ranger Nation, the show continued to do what it does best – entertain children and promote toy sales. And thus, tomorrow, another series of Power Rangers comes to a close.

Tomorrow morning, Power Rangers Super Megaforce will come to a close with the episode Legendary Battle, featuring the return of previous Power Rangers including the iconic Jason David Frank as Tommy Oliver, the original Mighty Morphin Green Ranger. This marks the end of one chapter of Power Rangers and at the same time, opens a new chapter when Power Rangers Dino Charge premieres in February 2015, which is slowly becoming one of the most anticipated Power Rangers shows in recent memory, due mostly to the involvement of famed Power Rangers crew veteran Judd Lynn and an extremely likable (and open!) cast.

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last 18 months, here’s the list of returning Power Rangers in the final episode of Power Rangers Super Megaforce:

  • Jason David Frank as Tommy, the Mighty Morphin Green Ranger
  • Selwyn Ward as TJ, the In Space Blue Ranger
  • Patricia Ja Lee as Cassie, the In Space Pink Ranger
  • Danny Slavin as Leo, the Lost Galaxy Red Ranger
  • Reggie Rolle as Damon, the Lost Galaxy Green Ranger
  • Melody Perkins as Karone, the Lost Galaxy Pink Ranger
  • Sean CW Johnson as Carter, the Lightspeed Rescue Red Ranger
  • Alison MacInnis as Dana, the Lightspeed Rescue Pink Ranger
  • Jason Faunt as Wes, the Time Force Red Ranger
  • Hector David Jr. as Mike, the Green Samurai Ranger
  • Brittany Pirtle as Emily, the Yellow Samurai Ranger

Check your local listings for exact times (mostly 11am local). Please join our discussion thread for the episode and vote on it, and we will share some of your responses to the episode and season as a whole at a later date.

One last time … Go Go Megaforce!

Power Rangers Monday – Top 5 Must Own Power Rangers Toys

Posted on June 23, 2014 at 2:39 pm by Chris under Power Rangers, TokuNation, TokuNation Spotlights

Our Power Rangers Monday segment continues! Last week, we shared with you our Top 5 things that were not adapted from Super Sentai and got a lot of great responses. It’s always fun to take a look at the “what if”, as many fans who aren’t dedicated followers of Super Sentai had no idea about Gosei Green or the entire scenario revolving around Shinken Brown. Thanks for your feedback and for enjoying the article!

For this week’s topic, we put up a poll asking you to pick which topic we discussed today – and while the vote was close, the one that edged the others was the Top 5 Must Own Power Rangers Toys! This one was a little more challenging to write up because so many of the toys have Super Sentai counter-parts, leaving us to almost have to focus exclusively on the action figures as opposed to the Megazords. However, we did come up with a list that we feel is pretty awesome.

Before you read in to it – we didn’t include anything from the Legacy collection or from the S.H. Figuarts toy lines. Why? Because everyone knows that you MUST own those items. They are simply masterpiece quality figures and Megazords that every Power Rangers fan should own. That, honestly, left some slim pickings – we didn’t want to focus on the “rare” as we can do that in a future update (we’re looking at you Gold Lost Galaxy Megazord!). So take a seat, lean back, and fire up your browsers to find these must own Power Rangers toys! Please click “Read More” to begin your adventure!

Mystery S.H.Figuarts Teased by Bluefin

Posted on June 12, 2013 at 12:38 am by Kiryu under Conventions, Power Rangers, San Diego Comic Con

This photo just appeared on Bluefin’s Facebook page.

With no other info given, they could be anything. But the color layout on the suits seems to indicate a possible western release of the S.H.Figuarts Shinkenger releases, which aside from Shinken Red and Shinken Gold have previously been Tamashi Web Exclusives.

What’s you’re take on Bluefin’s mystery Figuarts? Discuss on the thread!

Jason David Frank Confirms Super Megaforce Cameo List

Posted on May 29, 2013 at 1:51 am by Chris under Power Rangers

Jason David Frank (Tommy, a Power Rangers legend as MMPR Green, MMPR White, Zeo Red, Turbo Red, Dino Thunder Black), confirmed via his official Facebook page that the cameos we’ve seen in the images posted on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are it … no other past Rangers appeared.

The finalized list is as follows:

Jason David Frank – (“Tommy” Mighty Morphin Green and White, Zeo Red, Turbo Red, Dino Thunder Black)
Selwyn Ward – (“TJ” Turbo Red, In Space Blue)
Patricia Ja Lee – (“Cassie” Turbo Pink, In Space Pink)
Danny Slavin – (“Leo” Lost Galaxy Red)
Reggie Rolle – (“Damon” Lost Galaxy Green)
Melody Perkins – (“Karone” In Space Astronema, Lost Galaxy Pink)
Sean Johnson – (“Carter” Lightspeed Red)
Alison MacInnis – (“Dana” Lightspeed Pink)
Jason Faunt – (“Wes” Time Force Red)
Hector David Jr – (“Mike” Samurai Green)
Brittany Pirtle – (“Emily” Samurai Yellow)

The exact quote from Jason David Frank is as follows:

Thats the only 10 that were pick guys. No other rangers came back. Thats the legendary cast for that ep.

So there you have it. We’d like to point out that yes, that is a list of ELEVEN, but the original list provided by RangerCrew.com’s Fury Diamond did not include Patricia Ja Lee. Whether she showed up on her own dime, or Jason David Frank really did do this for one dollar allowing her to be able to come, has yet to be revealed.

Super Megaforce Cameos Confirmed, Pictures From Their Flight

Posted on May 23, 2013 at 1:50 am by Chris under Power Rangers

Let the Super Megaforce cameo speculation finally be put to rest! Earlier tonight, Alison MacInnis, or Dana the Pink Ranger in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, confirmed that she was the 10th and final cameo Power Ranger returning for a reunion in Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

The following list was revealed by Fury Diamond of RangerCrew.com some time ago, with Alison MacInnis being the final addition to the list tonight.

Jason David Frank (“Tommy”, MMPR, PRZ, PRT, PRDT)
Danny Slavin (“Leo”, PRLG)
Melody Perkins (“Astronema”, “Karone”, PRiS, PRLG)
Reggie Rolle (“Damon”, PRLG)
Selwyn Ward (“TJ”, PRT, PRiS)
Sean Johnson (“Carter”, PRLR)
Alison MacInnis (“Dana”, PRLR)
Jason Faunt (“Wes”, PRTF)
Hector David Jr (“Mike”, PRS)
Brittany Pirtle (“Emily”, PRS)

We’ve included images that these former Power Rangers have posted on their flight to New Zealand. Apparently the entire first class was filled with Power Rangers! What a Power Rangers fan wouldn’t give to be on that flight right now…

Special thanks to Fury Diamond for all the glorious inside information on the upcoming reunion. No matter how small their roles may be, the fans are rejoicing to see some of their childhood heroes reunited, if even for a few seconds.

NOTE: Jason David Frank actually flew out on Monday, a couple of days prior to the rest of the cast. He is most likely already on set. Could he be there longer to film something closer to a tribute than a cameo for Tommy Oliver? Stay tuned… Go Go Power Rangers!

10 Past Rangers Confirmed for Super Megaforce

Posted on May 13, 2013 at 1:13 pm by Kiryu under Power Rangers

Rangercrew Member Fury Diamond once again breaks some news for Super Megaforce.

Not counting the Samurai Rangers, it seems that only 10 past actors have signed contracts to reappear on Super Megaforce.

Earlier, Jason Faunt has confirmed that he will be reprising his roll as Wesely Collins, in addition to David Slavin and Jason David Frank whom both confirmed that they will be making cameos.

Fury Diamond’s exact post is as follows:

One of my sources has confirmed that 10 past cast members have signed contracts and already completed their fitting. Some of these cast members are not active with the fandom and Power Rangers conventions. Jason Faunt confirmed earlier today and Danny Slavin may be one of the other cast members. The Samurai Cast members are not included in the 10 members.

Several cast members got the invite but didn’t get the uninvite letter. They are waiting for production to make a decision. These cast members are very excited to return.

My guess is that the production team only allocated for 10 past cast members.

Update:

Fury Diamond has now confirmed the 10 actors that will be appearing in Super Megaforce, from Diamond’s exact Post here is the list of confirmed Actors that are gonna appear in Super Megaforce:

I got off the phone with my source with a fun list of confirmed cameos. I am waiting confirmation for the final one. They said that only 10 members were confirmed. I don’t know whether they are planning for additional cameos since several cast members are still waiting for confirmation / uninvites.

Confirmed – Shane and Cam of Ninja Storm Not Invited for Super Megaforce

Posted on May 10, 2013 at 3:48 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Even though the source material for the upcoming Power Rangers Super Megaforce showcased what would be the Power Rangers Ninja Storm fighting against, and then alongside the Power Rangers Super Megaforce, it seems that Jonathan Tzachor and the production crew of Power Rangers Super Megaforce are going to go a different route, as it was discovered today that neither Pua Magasiva (Shane the Red Wind Power Ranger of Power Rangers Ninja Storm) or Jason Chan (Cam the Green Samurai Power Ranger of Power Rangers Ninja Storm) were offered invitations to return for Power Rangers Super Megaforce.

Pua Magasiva tweeted his lack of an invitation today, while our friend Fury Diamond of RangerCrew.com was kind enough to let us know that Jason Chan was also not invited.

The most curious part about this revelation is just exactly how Super Megaforce will introduce one of the latter Megazords, as the source footage involved the three Wind Power Rangers of Power Rangers Ninja Storm with the Power Rangers Super Megaforce (Gokaigers, technically).

What are your thoughts and feelings regarding the lack of these two great Power Rangers? How is Jonathan Tzachor planning to utilize the footage? Or does this mean we won’t even get the Megazord in question that won’t be named for those not wishing to be spoiled entirely?

Discuss!
