Break, Up!
This dark anti-hero and former Kamen Rider from Kamen Rider Drive finally joins the Tire Koukan toy line! Today we’re looking at TK-06 Mashin Chaser!
So far the only villain in the Tire Koukan line, Mashin Chaser takes the gimmick and twists it just a little bit. As in the show Chaser’s Tire Koukan attachment point is on his back, meaning jsut about any tire you want to attach to him won’t interfere with how this figure functions. Mashin Chaser comes with his trusty Break Gunner but also includes his very own version of the gimmick in the form of the E-Circular multi-weapon! It even includes attachments to form his 3 signature Viral Core upgrades: Tail Whipper, Wing Sniper, & Fang Spidey!
If those features aren’t enough to convince then perhaps a video review by my friend and frequent contributor Baltmatrix will! As always we’ve tried to team-up and tackle this figure on both review fronts.

Break, Up.
After a little hiatus we're back with a brand new gallery for Kamen Rider Drive! Today we're taking a look at Drive's anti-heroic nemesis, Tire Koukan TK-06 Mashin Chaser!
Packaging
As always TK-06 Mashin Chaser comes in the same kind of standard packaging that the rest of the Tire Koukan line does. Albeit with more awesome dark flare. Aside from the new stock photos there's nothing new to report here.
Main Figure
Where the packaging is the same as the standards of the line, in the actual figure department Mashin Chaser diverges greatly from the rest of the line. Where Drive & his forms are a bit asymmetrical but basically very orderly design wise, Mashin Chaser is a complete new beast. An amalgamation of parts, on top of electronics and wiring, wrapped up in a beautifully ugly little bit of evil. This figure captures the gorgeous intricacy of the actual suit very very well. As a mainline toy it of course can't feature every detail or paint application that the upcoming S.H. Figuart will, but it gets many of the finer details very right.
Since the figure is primarily black you might at first glance pass the details that are present, but much like Drive Type Speeds back, Mashin Chaser's body is covered in incredible body lines. The gray piped detailing is actually cast in a fairly soft plastic so it won't hinder moving the figure either which is nice since it's raised off the body surface. The head is downright gorgeous as well. Though the figure can't quite capture the look of his left eye hidden under all the junk like the suit can, this figures gives us a great approximation of the head sculpt. I just with the eye was translucent like Drive's various forms. Of particular note for paint apps is the amazingly well done skull on Chaser's left shoulder. It's actually more properly defined than on the actual suit!
Now for some reason the articulation feels a little bit strange on Mashin Chaser and I'm not sure why. Drive's 4 Types released so far all seem to be fine even with Technic's minor limitations. But I find Chaser a little awkward to pose for some reason. His head definitely is a little limited. When turned to one side or the other it's sort of at a fixed angle with a tilt so it can look a little awkward. The nice thing about Mashin Chaser though is his Tire Koukan port is placed entirely out of the way on his back. Making this by far the one figure that you can use the feature most easily, though it also protrudes quite far. Look below for all the combinations you can make!
Accessories
Now the accessory are a bit odd for Mashin Chaser. While he includes 4 individual items, 3 of them combine into one proper accessory. TK-06 includes:
1 - Break Gunner henshin gun. Sadly there aren't many paint apps at all on the Gunner, just some purple to break up the otherwise dull gray. But that's to be expected after the lavish details on the figure itself. The gunner is non-functioning but then again there are no Shift Cars or Viral Cores made to that scale in this toyline so it doesn't need to function.
1 - Tail Whipper/E-Circular base. This is an odd one. The base of this accessory is the base of the entire E-Circular device which lets Chaser use his Busou Chaser weapons. Basically it's Tire with the Tail Whipper permanently attached to it. But the next two items can also be stored on it. The tail can be extended out thanks to some hinges and a rotational joint. A small peg is present on it that allows the entire assembly to plug into the back of Chaser's neck, or when extended plug into his arm. Sadly it just is not long enough to get much effective use out of it when attached to his arm.
1 - Wing Sniper. this set of bat like wings can be used while the E-Circular is attached to Chaser's back to create a flight pack for him. When used in conjunction with the Tail Whipped to fold out it creates a crossbow like weapon.
1 - Fang Spidey. This tiny blade rounds out the trio of E-Circular attachments and finishes off the look of the crossbow or blade weapon that Chaser uses interchangeably. When detached from the E-Circular it can also be held by a figure as a dagger like weapon.
Final Thoughts
Tire Koukan TK-06 Mashin Chaser pretty much comes with everything. Every weapon he's ever used is included and the E-Circular is fully capable of realizing any of his 3 Buso Chaser forms. If you want to replicate his ability to steal Drive's shift cars he's even 100% compatible with ALL the tires of the Tire Koukan Line. Something still feels just atad bit off about the figure to me and I can't quite place my finger on it. But I still really love it and the additional play value it brings to this line.

I was hoping for some weird Drive/Chaser combos ah well. Nice looking figure though and h is tempting given how self contained he is

YES YES YES. Love it! Love every bit of it! Very much looking forward to getting this guy, eventually.

Chase is looking good overall, that giant peg on his back bothers me a bit xD
AkibaSilver says
Well, now to wait for this guy's price to drop on Amazon so I can get him...

He looks great overall. The only thing I don't like is the plug sticking out on his back, but it's far from a dealbreaker. Definitely one of my favorite TK figures so far.
