The official Power Rangers Movie Instagram has once again dropped a new reveal for the 2017 Power Rangers Movie! The fourth ranger of the team has arrived in this lasted tease as RJ Cyler has been cast as the Blue Ranger!
As with the other actors cast so far for the film RJ Cyler has a relatively short list of acting credits but has experience. Huh, I was expecting the Yellow Ranger to be black, but then again this isn't MMPR season 2 so we can't exactly expect anything to go like it did on the show. Especially with how this guy doesn't look particularly "nerdy" either.

My reaction is the same with all the others positively optimistic. I'm not sure if they are going to be the same Mighty Morphin Power Rangers though.
Some fans on Facebook that I see are mad that they cast a African American as Billy. I don't care as long if he pulls of the role.
I do agree. I wish people would wait until we get footage like a trailer before people can bitch about the film. It's still way too early to make any judgements on the movie, but some fanboys like to jump the gun.
I'm really happy with the casting so far. We don't know anything about how they'll be yet, but there's reason to remain optimistic.
