Shin Godzilla US Release Details Confirmed- In Select Theaters October 11-18 2016!

After an impressive run in Japanese theaters grossing over 5 billion yen, the latest Godzilla movie is finally gearing up for a release in America!

Funimation will bring Shin Godzilla (also known as Godzilla:Resurgence) to a select group of 440 US theaters from October 11-18 2016. Check out the Official Funimation Site to find screenings in your area!

    I can't wait, although, my friend who has seen it told me to go in expecting an Anno movie and not a classic Godzilla one.

    Well Toho usually takes about 9 months to release something on video after it hit theaters, so don't expect a US release probably until Xmas of next year.

    I know that feeling. When I lived in Buffalo NY we never got anything.

    Now in CO we get nearly everything. I will be buying tickets for this as soon as the Alamo puts them up.

    Personally I really loved this film, its a very different take on Godzilla but one I really like. I expect this movie to be very divisive , some will love these changes while others will hate them.

    Luckily there are 2 theaters in my area within reasonable distance. Looking forward to it, but I have a feeling I might be disappointed.
