So we got some new details for Studio Trigger's Gridman Anime announced at Tokyo Comic Con. Akira Amemiya whom directed the Gridman short will be helming this project. Along with Keiichi Hasegawa as the script writer and Masayuki Gotou will be designing Gridman himself. Supposedly, the anime will be debuting sometime in the Fall 2018 and there'll be some sort of big Gridman event December 8th.

Voice actor Hikaru MIDORIKAWA was casted as the lead role.

We also got a preview trailer here:

Yeah I don't know these names and I am too lazy to look them up. So does it mean it will be worth it to wait a year for this or should we worry?

Welp, for starters we got the person who was in charge of that short 2 years ago helming it, someone who wrote for Ultraman since Tiga and was the main writer for Dyna and Nexus writing this, an artist who has been designing for Ultra series for some time notably Daikaiju Battle, Ultraman Zero Retsuden, Ginga, Orb, and last but not least Hikaru Midorikawa reprising his role as the voice of Gridman.
We also have to consider that Trigger is a small company so it will take some time to do stuff. I would love to see this ASAP but I will wait if that is what it will take for them to make this boss.
Man I really am hyped now. I am for now speculating that this will be a sequel of sorts kinda like the Patlabor live action films or something completely different but with nods to the original show.

It would be funny if we got the Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad actors back to dub the anime.

Except, as I previously mentioned, David Kaye takes over as Kilokhan because of Tim Curry’s condition the past few years.

I'm not the only one baffled about them putting a Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad joke in the title right
