Mashin Sentai Kiramager & Kamen Rider Zero-One Movie Release Details Confirmed!

Toei has released new teasers confirming the updated release dates for the Super Sentai and Kamen Rider theatrical releases, previously postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

And for the first time in many years, the properties will no longer appear on a double-bill! Each tokusatsu film will have a separate release.

*The first project on schedule, Kamen Rider Zero-One The Movie will feature Aruto face off against a new foe, Kamen Rider Eden to determine the fate of the world. This film is set for release on December 18 2020.

*Next, Mashin Sentai Kiramager The Movie will be released in Spring 2021. Exact plot details have not been confirmed at time of writing but the film is set to feature a sparkling new adventure.

    I'm curious if Saber is going to have a small role in Zero-One's movie since he's the current Rider. That is why Kiva and Decade was heavily advertised in Den-O movies despite being glorified cameos.

    And Kirameiger's movie releasing in spring (most likely they'll probably take the spot of the VS movies' date) I hope they would run longer than 20-30 minutes, or maybe it will be another double bill with the next Sentai. If it runs longer, maybe this movie will be a bit more memorable than the usual Sentai summer movies.

    So not only did Zero-One get the ostensible crossover with Zi-O all to himself, but it looks like his standalone movie might go for full feature length at this rate. Pretty spoiled! Yet it could be karmic balance for how it's run was a month shorter than it should have been.

    Kiramager's is going to be that late?? Like. It's gone from early-series to post-series, that's gonna be a LOT of rewrites.

    Well, most Sentai movies (toku movies in general actually...) just has our five main heroes dealing with a new stand-alone threat with help of the new mecha. Plus Sentai series aren't exactly known for shaking up their status quos so I can't imagine this shift in dates would affect the story of the movie much at all.

    Unless it was something really specific like... the movie villain works together with Garza, but the latter is either dead or redeemed by the end of the show, or something to that effect.

    It’s also about how the characters have developed, what new additions tobthe cast there are, etc. Not to mention what toys they got

    01 movie seems like an epilogue taking place in the winter movie slot. Like the sumer movie get delayed and shifted. Instead of a secondary rider return like every year or saber vs we get a summer movie budget focus in main rider.
    Kiramager is tricky since its in spring during next year sentai. Either it's a double ft with saber movie in spring. Idk if there is 01 vs saber. Seems like a kiramager return or mini vs with next year sentai. Idk.

    They have, indeed, announced a movie war style ‘Saber x Zero One’ movie...but we don’t know anything about it other than that it was was announced in televi-kun.
