The "Sengoku" period in Japanese history took place in the late 1400's through most of the 1500's. Known as the period of the Warring States, it featured such classic historical characters like Oda Nobunga, Tokugawa Ieyasu, Takeda Shingen, and Masamune Date. Without a true Emperor, various warring states battled each other for control of Japan until a new Emperor was put in place. For what it's worth, Tokugawa Ieyasu would end up as the "victor" ... and a character known as Ieyasu stars in the Kamen Rider Wizard / Kamen Rider Gaim movie, which released in December 2013.
SENGOKU DRIVER
The henshin belt device used by the Armored Riders to henshin in to a Kamen Rider/Armored Rider. They are powered by Lock Seeds, each one giving them a different power and armor.
LOCK SEEDS
The fruit that grows in Helheim Forest, when grabbed by a Kamen Rider/Armored Rider, morphs in to a Lock Seed. In it's natural state (ie: non Lock Seed) it seems to cast a spell upon regular people, giving them a very strong desire to eat one. When an Inves monster eats a Lock Seed, they transform in to a powerful creature. When they eat it in its natural state, nothing happens. It has yet to be shown what happens when a normal human eats a Helheim Forest fruit, but it's been hinted that it actually turns them in to a powered up Inves monster.
Inves Monsters - eat Helheim Forest fruit, but crave the Lock Seed version
Special Inves Monsters (ie: speculated humans) - crave real fruit from the real world, with no taste for Helheim Forest fruit or Lock Seeds
MEET THE ARMORED RIDERS!

Kamen Rider Gaim - Kouta Kazuraba (Team Gaim)
(First Appearance - Episode 01 - "Transform! The Orange From the Sky?")
Kouta Kazuraba is a free-spirited, family-oriented youngster who had given up in dancing tournaments so he could maintain a "real job" and help provide for he and his sister, Akira Kazuraba. He has a close friendship, even an underlying romance, with Team Gaim captain Mai Takatsukasa. In an effort to help Team Gaim, Kouta accidently becomes Kamen Rider Gaim using the Orange Lock Seed. Upon discovering that the powers are useless to him unless he helps other, Kouta rejoins Team Gaim and uses the powers to defeat rival dance groups and their Inves monsters, unlocked from the Lock Seeds, as well as saving innocent people when the Inves suddenly break free to this dimension and begin attacking people.
As the story progresses, Kouta realizes it really his him against the rest of the world (or at least, Yggdrasill). While others (Micchy) try to convince him to stop fighting, Kouta believes in what he is fighting for and pushes forward. It's this trait, the desire to use his power to protect people, that causes DJ Sagura to continually give Kouta new upgrades to keep himself as powerful, and eventually more powerful, than Professor Ryouma and the other Energy Riders. Kouta believes in the best of everyone, so much so that he fails to see Micchy's betrayal even though everyone around him can see it. He befriends his nemesis, the "White Armored Rider" (Takatora), and is about to learn of his demise at the hands of Micchy.
-
Kamen Rider Baron - Kaito Kumon (Team Baron)
(First Appearance - Episode 03 - "Shock! The Rival's Banana Transformation!?")
Kaito is a strong-willed youngster and the captain of Team Baron. He believes that you should never rely on anyone but yourself, and that you have to have true strength and power in order to succeed. His team, Team Baron, is the main rival to Team Gaim, and after witnesses Kouta henshin in to an Armored Rider, Kaito himself ends up with a Sengoku Driver, and henshins in to Kamen Rider Baron, utilizing the Lock Seed Banana.
-
Kamen Rider Ryugen - Mitsuzane "Micchy" Kureshima (Team Gaim)
(First Appearance - Episode 04 - "He's Formed! The Third Grape Rider!)
Micchy is the younger brother of Takatora Kureshima (Kamen Rider Zangetsu) and is studying at the Yggdrasill corporation. He is secretly a member of Team Gaim and is attracted to team captain Mai. After Kouta has a terrifying experience as Kamen Rider Gaim, he gives up wanting to be an Armored Rider, and Micchy feels it is up to him to protect the people he cares about, and gets his own Sengoku Driver. When all hope looks lost in a dance competition, Micchy pulls out his belt and Grape Lock Seed and reveals himself to the world as he henshins in to Kamen Rider Ryugen.
As the story progresses, Micchy finds himself torn - stay with his friends and fight (what he feels to be) a losing battle, or join with his brother with Yggdrasill. He chooses the latter, and begins lying to his friends about his whereabouts and activities. He continues to see Mai attach herself more and more to Kouta, which deeply angers him. He begins to despise Kouta, to the point that he believes that if Kouta was gone, the world would be easier to save (because his plans would have worked). When Professor Ryouma betrays Micchy's brother, Takatora, and they push him off a cliff, Micchy watches, ignores his brother's pleas to help Kouta, and becomes the new Zangetsu Shin. With it, and Kouta's ignorance to the fact that Takatora is gone, Micchy continually attacks Kouta. It isn't until Oren declares the fighting style of Micchy is not Takatora, and that Zangetsu Shin is an imposter. Micchy, now allied with the Overlord Redyue, tries to convince Mai to come with him as he can save the world. She refuses, and Micchy decides Kouta must be sacrificed for the greater good. Takatora, who had been healing in hiding, interrupts Micchy's attempt to kill Kouta, and the brothers end up dueling. Takatora is unable to strike his younger brother, and Micchy delivers a finishing blow to Takatora, sending his unconscious body in to the bay. With no more distractions, Micchy is ready to defeat Kouta once and for all.
-
Kamen Rider Zangetsu - Takatora Kureshima (Yggdrasill Corporation)
(First Appearance - Episode 04 - "He's Formed! The Third Grape Rider!)
Second only to his father in the chain of command at the Yggdrasill corporation, Takatora holds a debonair type of attitude, and wants nothing more than his younger brother "Micchy" to succeed and move up in the company. He is already an Armored Rider, Kamen Rider Zangetsu, and he only seems to fight those who enter the alternate dimension in which the Lock Seeds are harvested. He is one of the masterminds behind the entire Inves Game as well as the Sengoku Drivers that unlock the Kamen Riders.
PRIMARY LOCK SEED: Melon (Melon Lock Seed)
SECONDARY LOCK SEED: Coming soon...
-
Kamen Rider Kurokage - Ryoji Hase (Team Raid Wild)
(First Appearance - Episode 05 - "Return! The Ichigo Arms of Friendship!")
Lacking the ability to defeat Team Gaim because of the Armored Riders, Hase joins with Jonouchi in an alliance with Team Baron in exchange for free Lock Seeds to battle Team Gaim. Quick to anger and quick to act, Hase and Jonouchi are given Sengoku Drivers by the Lock Seed Dealer Sid after he overhears their desire to get to the same level as Kaito (Kamen Rider Baron). After Ryugen and Gaim have Baron on the ropes, Hase quickly henshins in to Kamen Rider Kurokage, and then turns on Baron, stating it's a tactical advantage to take down the strongest first (in reference to Baron). After being defeated by Gaim, and then again by Bravo, Kurokage went to Helheim Forest during the Christmas Game, but was more interested in defeating the other Armored Riders in combat. He intercepts Kamen Rider Zangetsu, and his Sengoku Driver is seriously damaged, his crest fading away as he lies unconscious in the grass, his fate unknown...
Unable to cope with losing his Sengoku Driver, Hase caves in to the fruit of Helheim forest, devouring one and becoming an Inves. Kouta tries but is unable to finish him off, knowing that it was his friend. At that moment, Kamen Rider Sigurd appeared with the other Energy Riders and destroyed Hase. His passing became a major turning point for Kouta, who vowed to reveal the secrets of Yggdrasill and stop them once and for all.
-
Kamen Rider Gridon - Hideyasu Jonouchi (Team Invitto)
(First Appearance - Episode 05 - "Return! The Ichigo Arms of Friendship!")
Jonouchi is described as the "cowardly schemer", though he would prefer if you called it "tactics". He forms an alliance with Kaito of Team Baron in exchange for Lock Seeds in hopes of trying to defeat Team Gaim. However, the alliance is called off when he's given a Sengoku Driver by the Lock Seed Dealer Sid, becoming Kamen Rider Gridon. He, along with his partner Kurokage, turn on Baron but are defeated by Gaim. Always scheming but afraid to fight, Gridon is defeated by Kamen Rider Zangetsu in Helheim Forest and taken to Yggdrasill, his fate currently unknown. It is important to note that in the first episode, there's a "future" scene of the four main Riders (Gaim, Baron, Ryugen, Zangetsu) going to battle against each other with great armies ... and Gridon is standing next to Kamen Rider Baron. What does this mean? The writer, Urobuchi, has stated he has "big plans in store for Jonouchi".
PRIMARY LOCK SEED: Acorn (Acorn Lock Seed)
SECONDARY LOCK SEED:
-
Kamen Rider Bravo - Oren Pierre Alfonzo (Pastry Chef)
(First Appearance - Episode 06 - "The Durian Rider Appears!"
A current master pastry chef, Oren Pierre Alfonzo used to be in the military and spent much time stationed in France. After being annoyed by Team Red Hot's obnoxious celebration of receiving a Sengoku Driver, Oren takes it from the team and decides to show the other Armored Riders what a true warrior is, and henshins in to Kamen Rider Bravo. Oren is friend to none and enemy to all, and his battle technique and skill was only bested by an uber-powered Gaim using the Watermelon Lock Seed.

Episodes and Summaries
Story Arch 1 - Beat Riders Saga
(Episodes 01 - 11)
Episode 01 - "Transform, the Orange From the Sky?!
The first scene of this series discusses fate and the decisions you make. We see Kamen Rider Gaim with an army of Inves behind him. We flash over and see Kamen Rider Baron and Kamen Rider Gridon, with their own army of Inves, while Kamen Rider Zangetsu and Kamen Rider Ryugen stand on an elevated plane with their own army, awaiting the next move. A girl dressed in white with a red eye awakens (it looks as if the vegetation around here is ... feeding her or feeding OFF her, one of the two). As she looks on at the armies, the flower in her hair falls to the ground, and the battle begins.
In this episode we are introduced to our main characters - Kouta Kazuraba, Kaito Kuman, Mai, Yuuya Sumii, DJ Sagara, and other characters that are named later. There is a company - Yggdrasill - which has turned Zawame City in to a prosperous place. The youth have taken to dancing and participating in something known as "Beat Riders" - teams that dance and battle each other for stages using Lock Seeds which bring out Inves creatures that battle each other. We quickly see that the Inves are hard to control as one breaks free from the ring during a Beat Rider Battle.
Yuuya, the Team Gaim captain, is called in for a meeting with a man named Sid, who is referred to as the Lock Seed Dealer. He offers Yuuya a new way to make sure his team always wins - a belt. Kouta and Mai are both text messaged by Yuuya to come meet at a location so he can show them what he has - however when they arrive he is nowhere to be found, but a passageway to some other dimension exists. They enter and discover that this is where the Inves, the creatures from the Lock Seed battles, live. There is strange fruit growing on the trees and while Mai shows no interest, Kouta grabs one to eat - but he is snapped out of it when a strange creature appears in front of Mai. As they hide, they discover the belt that Yuuya wanted to show them laying on the ground - Yuuya was here, and now he's missing! Kouta grabs the belt and puts it by his waist, causing it to latch on to him and a strange crest to appear on the belt, and the fruit he holds in his hands become Lock Seeds. The monster reappears and Mai and Kouta flee back to the normal world.
As the monster continues to approach them, Kouta has Mai hide and rushes the monster himself, using a pole to attack without any success. The monster strikes back, and Kouta realizes that the Lock Seeds he has fit in to the belt - so he puts the orange one in, attaches it, flips the switch and transforms in to Kamen Rider Gaim. As he battles the monster, a girl in white appears that looks just like Mai. She informs Kouta that the choice he makes now will change fate, and that he will have to battle to the very end till the world is dyed in his image. She removes his lock as the monster strikes, and Kouta falls from the building to the ground. The girl points at him, and Kouta looks at his weapon realizing the Lock will fit in the sword. He does so, and is able to destroy the monster with a new power up. He looks down at his Lock Seed after turning back to normal and claims, "I really did ... transform".
Episode 02 - "Deadly!! Pineapple Kick!"
Now that he's a Kamen Rider, Kouta proclaims himself a new man, and tries to use his henshin power to help make his various jobs easier. It ends up not going well, and Kouta is confused as to what exactly he's supposed to do with this new power. Team Baron, led by Kaito, challenges a leaderless Team Gaim to an Inves competition - if Gaim loses, they forfeit their Player's Card and disband as a team. If they win, Baron will give up their Pine Lock Seed. Kouta arrives and they use the Strawberry Lock Seed, and easily beat the three smaller Inves that Kaito summons. But when Team Baron causes Kouta to lose control of his Lock Seed, the Inves frees itself and begins attacking the people. Kouta henshins in to Kamen Rider Gaim and stops the monster, but it devours the Strawberry Lock Seed and becomes incredibly powerful. Kouta takes the Pineapple Lock Seed from Kaito and uses it, unleashing Pine Arms, a new form of armor and weapon. He wins and Team Gaim celebrates as Kaito looks on with jealousy. The final scene has Takatora of Yggdrasill stating that "things are progressing well", leaving one to wonder what exactly is going on...
Episode 03 - "Shock! The Rival's Banana Transformation!?"
Team Gaim is easily rising through the ranks as Kouta assists in defeating small Inves using his Kamen Rider Gaim powers. Kaito finally decides to even up the score, and receives a Sengoku Driver from Sid, the Lock Seed Dealer. He proposes a battle with Kouta, and the crowd is amazed as Kaito henshins in to Kamen Rider Baron, the Knight of Spear, using the Banana Lock Seed. Before they can battle, Sid the Lock Seed Dealer appears and offers them a one time deal - don't fight, instead race - and gives them each Lock Seeds that transform in to bikes - the Sakura Hurricane and Rose Attacker. They begin to race and the bikes suddenly increase speed and teleport them ... straight in to the Helheim Forest!
Episode 04 - "He's Formed! The Third Grape Rider!"
Being transported in to the Helheim Forest, Baron learns that the fruit on the trees are Lock Seeds, and gives up battling Gaim so he can collect as many as he can. Kouta uses the opportunity then to look for Yuuya, who he believes is still in Helheim Forest. He fights off an Inves monster and is confronted by a White Armored Rider. Before Kouta can explain himself, the White Armored Rider attacks him, and beats him pretty easily. The experience is so terrifying for Kouta that he swears off the Sengoku Driver, stating that his days as Kamen Rider Gaim are over with, as what he just went through is not, and will never be, worth it.
Micchy begins to obsess over Mai and how he just wants her to notice him as well as be more helpful to Team Gaim. He decides that the only way she will notice him is if he becomes an Armored Rider as well. He uses the fact that he is Takatora's brother from Yggdrasill to convince, and threaten, Sid to give him a Sengoku Driver and a Lock Seed.
Jonouchi from Team Invitto challenges Team Gaim to an Inves battle. He's using a powerful Lock Seed, and Mai is reluctant to use the Orange Lock Seed that she was given by Kouta when he gave up being a Kamen Rider. But before she can do anything about it, Micchy reveals that he has a Sengoku Driver as well, and henshins in to Kamen Rider Ryugen, the new Armored Rider of Team Gaim.
Episode 05 - "Return! The Ichigo Arms of Friendship"
Micchy begins to take leadership of Team Gaim now that he is the Kamen Rider Ryugen. Kouta, on the other hand, is still emotionally a wreck after nearly being killed by Kamen Rider Zangetsu in the Helheim Forest. Vowing to never fight or use the belt again, he decides to get back to looking for a job and living a normal life.
Jonouchi meets with Kaito from Team Baron and they reveal the alliance that they've joined in exchange for free Lock Seeds. Kaito, however, talks down to Jonouchi and refers to himself as a "ruler", and that the only reason he created the alliance was to create a sense of order in order to eliminate the chaos from having multiple Armored Riders. Jonouchi meets with Hase soon after, and they both agree that they do not like being lackeys to Kaito and they need to find a way to match his power. Lock Seed Dealer Sid just happens to walk by, stops, and smiles at hearing this.
Kaito challenges Micchy to a battle, using two Lock Seeds to bring out two Inves monsters while turning in to Kamen Rider Baron. Micchy turns in to Ryugen but is no match for them. Kouta arrives and watches Micchy get trashed, and realizes that the belt isn't about himself, but about helping other people, especially his friends. He overcomes his emotional scars and henshins to Kamen Rider Gaim, rushes in and saves Micchy. Together, they defeat the Inves and have Baron on the ropes when the unthinkable happens - Hase and Jonouchi appear, and henshin in to Kamen Riders Kurokage and Gridon, stating they shouldn't be taken lightly. There are now six Armored Riders in existence, with five of them about to fight...
Episode 06 - "The Durian Rider Appears!"
As Kurokage and Gridon enter the scene, they quickly turn on Baron, dissolving the alliance and successfully defeating him. Before they can destroy his Sengoku Driver, Gaim intervenes and he, along with Ryugen, take down Kurokage and Gridon, saving Baron. Hase and Jonouchi discuss that Sid makes a killing off selling Lock Seeds especially to them - the Sengoku Drivers are worthless without Lock Seeds. They then see a member of Team Red Hot holding a Sengoku Driver, meaning a 7th Rider is about to enter the mix.
While at home, Micchy discovers that his brother Takatora has a Sengoku Driver, the Melon Lock Seed, and a new Watermelon Lock Seed. Confused and shocked that his brother might also be an Armored Rider, Micchy does the only reasonable thing he can think of, and steals the Watermelon Lock Seed.
Kouta is job hunting and strikes out at the premiere baking shop owned by the renowned Oren Pierre Alfonzo. Kouta is greatly surprised when, after joining a crowd watching Kurokage and Gridon training, he seens Oren Pierre Alfonzo show up with a Sengoku Driver. He explains that he forced Team Red Hot to give it to him, and henshins in to Kamen Rider Bravo, easily defeating Kurokage and Gridon. There's a new Kamen Rider in town, and he's not playing by the rules, as he only wants to defeat all the Armored Riders.
Episode 07 - "Great Ball Watermelon, Big Bang!"
Bravo easily defeats Kurokage and Gridon, and then delivers a message to the audience - how do they like a real warrior as opposed to the street trash Beat Riders? Takatora is displeased, and we learn that everyone - Sid the Lock Seed Dealer and the Beat Rider DJ, are all working for Yggdrasill and that the entire Beat Riders and Inves Games are set up by Yggdrasill for some sort of an experiment. We are also introduced to Professor Ryouma, who created the Sengoku Drivers and studies the Armored Riders and Lock Seeds. He states that Kamen Rider Bravo should continue to exist, as he's delivering very interesting results from his use of the Driver.
Bravo easily defeats Baron, and then moves on to Team Gaim. We get our first group henshin of Gaim and Ryugen, and the battle is pretty even until Bravo calls forth an army of Inves to fight. Ryugen gives Gaim the Watermelon Lock Seed, introducing Suika Arms, a giant mech battle suit. Gaim easily defeats the Inves, a powered up Inves from Lock Seeds, and manages to hold off Bravo. Oren retreats stating he has pie crusts to bake, and Gaim celebrates their victory.
Episode 08 - "Baron's New Mango Power"
After being defeated by Kamen Rider Bravo, Kaito decides he needs to become even more powerful if he hopes to beat Bravo, and in retrospect, Gaim and Ryugen as well. He travels in to Helheim forest, but unexpectedly runs in to Team Gaim Captain Mai, who found a random portal and entered. Afraid of being by herself, her and Kaito reluctantly agree to go together and discover that they both hate Yggdrasill with a passion, which allows them to bond. As a new, armored Inves attacks them, Kaito henshins in to Kamen Rider Baron to protect her, and tries out a new Lock Seed ... the Mango Lock Seed. Gaim and Ryugen join the fight as they return to the real world. Gaim uses Pine Arms while Baron uses his new Mango Arms, and together they defeat the heavily armored Inves monster. In the end, Kaito walks away alone, giving Mai a half-hearted wave goodbye as she thanks him for saving her.
Episode 09 - "The Monster Inves Capture Battle"
Mai, Micchy, and Kouta are afraid that if rifts are opening to Helheim Forest and anyone can enter, what if the Inves are coming through and wrecking havoc on this side? Their suspicions are confirmed when reports of a monster attacking innocent people surface. Seeking help from Kaito of Team Baron, their request is denied as Kaito doesn't care about anything but winning. They decide they have to hatch a plan of their own to capture the monster. They succeed in drawing the monster out, and follow it back to its nest, which is in the sewers. They defeat the monster and discover that the vegetation of Helheim Forest is actually pouring in to our side. It is there that they see Kamen Rider Zangetsu and a few guys in hazmat suits burning all the evidence. Kouta freaks out (thinking back of how Zangetsu kicked his butt), while Micchy realizes that the Sengoku Driver and Lock Seed are the same that he saw in his brother's room ... and is afraid to admit that his brother is actually Kamen Rider Zangetsu. They withdraw, and prepare their plans to get to the bottom of what is going on.
Episode 10 - "All the Riders Gather! Revealing the Forest's Mystery!"
After the events of the previous episode, Micchy and Kouta agree they need to find wherever the research camp is in Helheim Forest, but also draw the White Armored Rider away so that they can learn what's going on. Micchy devises a game to bring all the other Armored Riders in to Helheim Forest to draw the White Armored Rider away, allowing Kouta to complete their mission. They approach Sid and strike a deal - give them enough Lock Seed Bikes, and all the winnings from the Christmas Game (to collect Lock Seeds) will go to Sid. He agrees, and they are all given bikes. Bravo surprises everyone by also having a bike and joins in the fun. As the Riders go in to Helheim Forest, Takatora is alerted that all the Sengoku Drivers are entering the forest. Angrily, he grabs his own Sengoku Driver, henshins in to Kamen Rider Zangetsu, and prepares to enter the forest to deal with the Armored Riders.
Episode 11 - "The Truth Behind the Christmas Game"
The Kamen Riders quickly begin to battle as they enter Helheim Forest, but one by one Zangetsu appears and defeats them, having armed soldiers take them back to base camp. Kurokage's Sengoku Driver is badly damaged, the crest disappearing from the belt as he lay seemingly lifeless in the grass. In the process, Ryugen discovers that Zangetsu really is his brother Takatora. Kouta manages to find the base camp they were looking for and discovers that the entire Inves Game, the Sengoku Drivers, the Lock Seeds, are all part of some giant experiment with Yggdrasill. As he prepares to go rejoin Micchy, the camp is attacked by Inves and Gaim overcomes his anger at the workers and decides to save them, using a Suika Arms to battle the Inves and return to the Earth world, only to realize he's atop Yggdrasill tower. At the end of the episode, Micchy and Kouta drop off the Lock Seeds promised to Sid and Kouta angrily states that they are not his guinea pigs. Sid declares it is time to close up shop, and clicks off a strange looking Lock Seed. Kouta narrates the end of the episode, stating that they had no idea back then what they were getting in to, and that they were forced to grow up way too soon, as they would soon learn.

Episode 14 - "The Secret of Helheim's Fruits"
Hase transforms in to an Inves after eating a fruit from Helheim, and Shin Zangetsu goes to make a killing blow but is stopped by Baron. Baron informs Gaim to go after him, and he does. Baron is easily defeated by Shin Zangetsu, and is taken away by an army of Kurokages.
Kouta goes searching for Hase, who keeps transforming back and forth between Inves and half-Inves. He is unable to find him, but at the juice bar, he appears and tries to eat a fruit, only to be disgusted as the taste, transforming back in to an Inves and severely injuring a member of Team Gaim. Kouta shows up and the juice bar owner tells him Hase has gone mad, that he is going to kill someone if he isn't stopped.
Takatora and Sid meet, and word comes out that the Inves has been found. Takatora tells Sid that he's coming with him, as he needs to clean up the mess he started.
Micchy, in the meantime, breaks in to Yggdrasill and finds a computer terminal with Professor Ryouma's research. He discovers that most of the regular Inves, especially ones used in the Inves games, are actually Earth animals, like rats, that have eaten the fruits. We also see a video of Yuuya, the Team Gaim captain who went missing in Episode 01, enter the forest with the Sengoku Driver. He ends up eating a fruit, turning in to the first Inves monster from the series, and is shown being destroyed by Gaim. Micchy falls to the wall, tears in his eyes, realizing that Kouta unknowingly killed the Team Gaim captain Yuuya.
Kouta, as Gaim, fights Hase but every time he goes in for a killing blow all he sees is Hase's face, and is unable to fight, desperately wanting to find another way to save Hase. We see four sets of feet appear atop a building and the Energy Riders henshin. Kamen Rider Sigurd shoots Gaim, transforming him back to Kouta, and goes after Hase. Kouta can only watch as Hase is destroyed by Sigurd, who reveals himself to be none other than Sid the Lock Seed Dealer. As Kouta screams at him for being a murderer, Sid simply smiles, saying he did what Kouta could not - stopped a monster from injuring innocent people. Kouta is taken in to custody by Yggdrasill.
Episode 15 - "The Man Who Developed the Belts
Kouta and Kaito are taken in to Yggdrasill custody where they meet Professor Ryouma Sengoku, the developer of the Sengoku Drivers. He offers them a deal - help him develop an even more powerful driver belt and they can keep their Sengoku Drivers. Kaito and Kouta are wary of accepting any such deal - and we see Ryouma's secretary/bodyguard Ms. Minato kick some serious butt against them. They are taken to cells to consider the offer.
Takatora and Sid discuss what to do with Kaito and Kouta - Takatora plans to release the kids but keep their belts, while Sid thinks it's a bad idea and DJ Sagara pipes in that he agrees with Sid - they won't see the loss of their belts as protection, but as provocation. In the meantime, Mai and Team Gaim are meeting with the other teams represented by an Armored Rider, saying they must stop using Inves to battle. They are shrugged off because, as the other teams see it, Team Gaim would finish on top of the rankings, so of course they want everyone to stop. The meeting ends with no deal.
Kouta is visited by DJ Sagara in his cell, where Sagara asks him why he doesn't want the power of the Sengoku Driver. Kouta replies that he doesn't want the power because it's power, he wants it because Yggdrasill won't protect the people, but with the power of the Sengoku Driver, he can protect the people. Sagara is pleased with this answer, and leaves him the key card to his prison, a Lemon Energy Lock Seed, and an attachment to the Sengoku Driver. He tells Kouta that as long as he keeps things interesting for him, he will continue to help him.
Micchy appears and releases Kouta and Kaito and the three are separated when Kurokage's attack, but not before getting their Sengoku Drivers back (and Baron picking up a spare, mass-produced one). Kouta ends up facing off one on one against Sid, who is Kamen Rider Sigurd, while Micchy faces off against Kurokages, finally being seen by his brother Takatora. Micchy finally henshins to Ryugen, and Takatora finally realizes his little brother is wrapped up in this whole mess. Gaim is being badly beaten by Sigurd until Baron appears and helps fend him off. As they flee, Sigurd goes in for a killing blow only to be stopped by Kamen Rider Murika, who reveals herself to be Ms. Minato. She calls Sid out that he's no longer trying to stop them, but kill them, and tells him Professor Ryouma needs them left alive a little longer.
