After a rousing success in international print sales, numerous S.H.Figuarts, high end 1/6 scale figures, statues, busts, & other collectibles, the last barrier left to conquer for Eeichi Shimizu’s ULTRAMAN manga is of course, for it to be adapted to anime!
Headed our way in 2019 will be a full anime adaptation of the long running ULTRAMAN manga! A countdown had been ticking down on the series official website, without much further information until now. As more information about this series is revealed, such as the animation staff and voice cast, we’ll be sure to keep you up to date. If you’re unfamiliar with the ULTRAMAN Manga, here’s a handy summary of the plot from the series US publisher Viz:
Decades ago, a being known as the Giant of Light joined Shin Hayata of the Scientific Special Search Party to save Earth from an invasion of terrifying monsters known as Kaiju. Now, many years later, those dark days are fading into memory, and the world is at peace. But in the shadows a new threat is growing, a danger that can only be faced by a new kind of hero – a new kind of Ultraman…
Shinjiro is an ordinary teenager, but his father is the legendary Shin Hayata. When he learns that his father passed on the “Ultraman Factor” to him, and that he possesses incredible powers, nothing will ever be the same again.

The popular ULTRAMAN manga by Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shimoguchi, the duo who brought us Linebarrels of Iron, has been greenlit for a 2019 anime adaptation. As we all know, there was a countdown not too long ago and now it has been discovered that it lead to this reveal. The manga is currently serialized on Japan's Monthly Heros, and is a spin-off sequel which follows Shinjiro Hayata, son of the original Ultraman Shin Hayata, as the new Ultraman. One thing to note is that unlike its source material where Ultramen are primarily gigantic humanoid aliens, the Ultramen here are more akin to henshin heroes such as Kamen Rider and Metal Heroes wearing protective hi-tech armor.
Also, volume 11 of the manga is scheduled to release on December 5th, 2017.

Oh heck yeah. I've only read a bit of this but it was good. The action was a bit hard to follow at times, but this should fix it.
