Kamen Rider Gaim Video Review AC05 – Arms Change Zangetsu by baltmatrix

Posted on January 11, 2014 at 11:59 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider

The most successful merchandise line for any Kamen Rider series by Bandai of Japan has pumped out some incredible toys the last few months – and one of the most anticipated was none other than Arms Change Kamen Rider Zangetsu. Serving as the main antagonist in the Kamen Rider Gaim television series as of this writing, the character in the show just whoops up on all the other characters in a way that would make any superhero or super villain salivate.

So to determine how a white plastic remold of Kamen Rider Gaim in to Kamen Rider Zangetsu holds up, we turn to our great pal and TokuNation.com contributor baltmatrix, who provides us with yet another video review, this time of AC05 – Kamen Rider Zangetsu!

Did you know the quickest way to see all of these awesome video reviews by Spada is to subscribe to his feed? If you haven’t already, please do so by clicking here and hitting “Subscribe”. That way you guarantee that you’re one of the first to see his new video reviews – and he covers everything from Kamen Rider to Super Sentai to Power Rangers to Transformers! How does he afford all that anyways…?

Do you have AC05 – Arms Change Kamen Rider Zangetsu? Is your Musou Saber bending in an awkward angle too? What are your thoughts on the figure? Click on the ”Discuss on the Tokunation forums” link and join in debating the quality of the figure! And if you’re in to bendy swords, Talkin’ Toku at the Nation – the TokuNation.com Podcast will be talking about that very issue in their next episode! Watch for it soon!

S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Tiger Gallery by ryan

Posted on January 9, 2014 at 10:57 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider

This figure has one of two different names depending on where you first came familiar to him! To those who followed Kamen Rider Ryuki, this is Kamen Rider Tiger, a fierce warrior! For those who saw the US adaption, titled Kamen Rider Dragon Knight, then this is Kamen Rider Axe, another fierce warrior! Either way, this is the S.H. Figuart gallery of the figure brought to you by our very own ryan!

One of the coolest features of this figure is that the claw weapon accessory has each blade individually articulated via ball joint. That allows for some awesome poses as I’m sure your imagination is running wild with! Do yourself a favor and check out the full gallery!

If you liked this gallery, please share it on the social media of your choice using the buttons below! If not for us, then for our photo guys who spend a lot of time (and money) keeping up with the latest photo technology, light studio equipment, and of course, getting these hot toys to take pictures for you to enjoy!

Toys’R’Us Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Green and White Ranger Legacy Morpher Releasing Soon

Posted on January 9, 2014 at 12:40 am by Chris under Power Rangers

Thanks to our good friend raz and his Tumblr blog, we were pointed in the direction of an interesting eBay auction where the upcoming Green & White Ranger Legacy Morpher item, exclusive to Toys’R’Us, are in hand and ready to ship.

According to this auction, an accidental shipping error landed the seller with a case of 4 of the highly sought after Legacy Morphers. If you remember, a 24K Gold Plated version was available at the previous San Diego Comic Con as an exclusive, and after-market prices soared in to the range of a thousand dollars or more for the item. The item is still available for pre-order on ToysRUs.com for $59.99. There is now an estimated ship date of January 28th, 2014. The difference between the SDCC exclusive and this Toys’R’Us exclusive is the lack of the 24K plated gold, as well as the finish on the coins (no longer gold, but a ‘worn’ look similar to the other Legacy Morpher). raz promises updates on the different store’s stock/expected stock tomorrow.

Are you excited to get your hands on this item? Did you pre-order from Toys’R’Us, or were you planning to find one in stores? Let us know! And stay tuned for an upcoming gallery of the SDCC and Toys’R’Us items compared to each other!

Power Rangers Super Megaforce Mega Bloks Q-Rex Megazord Listed on Amazon

Posted on January 8, 2014 at 10:51 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Thanks to a listing on Amazon.com, we now know of the existence of an upcoming Mega Bloks item for Power Rangers Super Megaforce. But what is most interesting is both the name of the figure, the Q-Rex Megazord, as well as the product description of the item. It is as follows:

Call upon the awesome might of the Super Megaforce Silver Ranger’s personal Megazord and build the Mega Bloks Power Rangers Super Megaforce Q-Rex Megazord! This powerful Megazord was inherited by the Super Megaforce Silver Ranger from the Legendary Time Force Quantum Ranger. You can construct the Q-Rex Megazord in Robot Mode and use its huge drill to take on any Armada giant that attacks the Earth. Ideal for ages 5 and up.

So now the question is … did we just learn the name of the Silver Ranger‘s Megazord – the Q-Rex Megazord? And if that’s the case – how do you feel about the story line, that the Silver Ranger received his personal Megazord from the Quantum Ranger from Power Rangers Time Force? And how much do you wish Dan Southworth was in Super Megaforce to reprise the role of the Quantum Ranger now? Discuss!

New Power Rangers Super Megaforce and Legacy Items Listed

Posted on January 6, 2014 at 8:21 pm by Chris under Power Rangers

Thanks to the ever-so-awesome raz, we have some new items popping up in computers for Power Rangers Super Megaforce and the more collector-oriented line of Power Rangers Legacy. While some are pretty easy to figure out, the big one (and we’re not talking just about the price!) is kind of difficult, and discussion continues on what it could be. So here we go!

PR Legacy Megzrd Titans
– Price: 199.99
– Asst: 96980
– Item #: 96981
– UPC: 045557969811
– Tru : 859278
– Case count: 2

PR Legacy 5in Figures
– Price: 16.99
– Asst: 96970
– Tru #: 859359
– Found 8 items, 96971-96978

PR SMF Feature Megazord
– Price: 49.99
– Asst: 38060
– Tru #: 858665

There’s a couple more listed for Power Rangers Super Megaforce that consist of training gear and basic figures. But the real question is … what the heck is a Legacy Titans and why does it ring up at $199? Fans have speculated that it’s anything from the prototype Jumbo Megazord that you saw FIRST here at TokuNation.com during our coverage of San Diego Comic Con and New York Comic Con, while others have speculated that it could be a Legacy Megazord, Legacy Dragonzord, and Legacy Titanus 3-pack (which would justify the price).

What do YOU think it is? Come join in the discussion and give your thoughts and predictions! Chances are … we’ll know at Toy Fair 2014, which we’re pleased to announce that TokuNation.com will be in full attendance to get you pictures and any interviews possible from the Bandai of America booth! Fire up the speculation-boat and sail away friends!

Video Review of Kamen Rider Gaim Arms Change 06 Mango & Kiwi by baltmatrix

Posted on January 6, 2014 at 6:44 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider

The hottest thing in tokusatsu right now is Kamen Rider Gaim, and the hottest toys from that series are the Arms Change figures, which feature transformable fruits that change from fruit to armor, just like on the show! After reports came out that stated that Kamen Rider Gaim is setting franchise records for merchandise sales, fans everywhere began to fear that corners would be cut in production for supply to meet the demand (you can’t sell toys if you don’t have any left to sell!). Our very own baltmatrix finally got his set in (ask him about SAL vs EMS shipping!) and took the time to do a video review! Check it out below!

baltmatrix is a popular video reviewer for many of YOUR favorite toys – from tokusatsu toys like the Arms Change series to Super Sentai and Power Rangers Megazords, to the always collectible Transformers figures. If you haven’t already, click here and subscribe to his reviews. This way, you never miss a beat and you’ll know when to watch out for floppy joints and what to expect when you finally get that brand new action figure you’ve been waiting for!

What do you think? Do Arms Change Mango & Kiwi meet the same standards set from all the previous releases, or are they a step above or below? Did Bandai of Japan try to be too innovative with this set, or was it just enough? Join us in the discussion!
