Rumor – Super Sentai 2013 to be Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, plus Details

Posted on September 12, 2012 at 11:52 am by Chris under Super Sentai

The initial rumor of Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger first broke and was reported by other sites a couple of weeks ago. We here at TokuNation.com wanted to wait before jumping the gun – other sites have fallen prey to posting up early information that was the result of pranks and we chose to sit and wait to see if this information ended up being discreditted.

Well, a few weeks have gone by and nothing of the sort has happened. So let’s talk about Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.

The early translations show the series will feature electric ancient beasts, which spawned a LOT of conversation that this will be another Super Sentai to feature dinosaurs, like Zyuranger (pictured) and AbaRanger, a thought many felt was happening due to the overwhelming flop that Go-Busters, a high-tech/spy-like series, has been since the start of the year.

The first detailed rumors of the show have been posted over at our friends with JEFusion. We cannot confirm the validity behind any of these rumors, but they’re still fun to look at none-the-less. If they are accurate, let’s just say those hoping for dinosaurs may be disappointed…

In case these end up being accurate, we don’t want to spoil it for you. You can find the rumors by clicking the news story title. Feel free to discuss away!

Ratings for Kamen Rider Wizard Episode 02 and Go-Busters Mission 29

Posted on September 11, 2012 at 3:19 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider, Super Sentai

A fun topic that seems to spark a lot of conversation on the TokuNation.com Forums is the ratings of both Kamen Rider Wizard as well as Go-Busters. As we’ve previously mentioned, Go-Busters is on pace right now to be the lowest rated Super Sentai series of all time, doing even worse than OhRanger, which was the previous all time record holder for worst television ratings ever.

And don’t forget that Kamen Rider Fourze was abysmal in the ratings department, but the show managed to save face if only because of outstanding merchandise sales for the Fourze Driver and the various switches.

So how did the shows do this week?

Kamen Rider Wizard posted a 7.8% rating, up from it’s premiere of 7.1%. This single episode of Kamen Rider is the highest rated episode since Episode 12 of Kamen Rider OOO. That’s November 2010 for those of you keeping track.

Go-Busters pulled in a 5.2%, tying the series high set back on Mission 08. This can be creditted both to the fact that more people are watching Kamen Rider Wizard and, just maybe, the fact that Go-Busters is doing a unique “shake-up” … a new intro, a new theme song, and apparently a new main villain. And to quote some of our users here that are still watching, “What is this!? There’s an actual STORY in Go-Busters?!”

It’ll be interesting to see how this coming weekend’s numbers look. Will Kamen Rider Wizard continue to move up, breaking the 8.0% mark? Will Go-Busters reclaim some respect and adoration, or is it destined to be the worst rated Super Sentai of all time?

Stay tuned!

Bluefin Tamashii Release Of S.H. Figuarts Red Hawk To Feature New English Packaging!

Posted on September 7, 2012 at 2:47 am by DaiRiderRX under Super Sentai

Bluefin Tamashii just announced on their facebook that their release of S.H. Figuarts Red Hawk, from the Super Sentai series, Chojin Sentai Jetman, will be coming is a brand new English Packaging and include brand new English Instructions!

This change was made to facilitate the removal of the Akibaranger Inordinate Power, The Jet Winger, given the fact that Bluefin Tamashii is currently not allowed to sell S.H. Figuarts DekaRed, BoukenRed, or any of the Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger items due to liscensing.

Stay tuned to Tokunation for more news on this item and many more!

Posted on September 7, 2012 at 1:31 am by Shin Densetsu under Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, TokuNation Spotlights

Welcome to another round(which is admittedly late, sorry!) of Let’s Watch Wednesdays at Tokunation.com! Since 5 episodes may be a bit much(taking work, real life stuff and what not that take up your time), we have decided to go with a 3 episode format. However as with most Tokusatsu series it does not take long to long into an interesting story arc!

Does the Jetman team have what it takes to destroy Vyram?

During episode 3 of the double person/1 detective series Kamen Rider W, Shotaro and Philip came across the Million Colloseo. Towards the end, Philip freezes up and has flashbacks with Shotaro becoming an inadvertent witness!

With 1/2 of the Cyclone Joker trio “frozen”, things aren’t getting any easier as the Sonozaki family gains a new member who intends to make them proud! Which gaia memories and Dopants will Shotaro and Philip run into next?

Let’s Watch Wednesday – Thursday Edition – Jetman and Kamen Rider W!

Posted on August 30, 2012 at 12:12 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, TokuNation Spotlights

After a successful and fun trip down memory lane with Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, Dairanger, and Kamen Rider Ryuki, our Let’s Watch Wednesday begins a new (on a Thursday!) with two older Tokusatsu shows to watch – Chōjin Sentai Jetman and Kamen Rider W!

Chōjin Sentai Jetman[/u]
When the interdimensional organization Vyram attacks the Earth Ship developing superhero powers known as Birdonic Waves, the powers of the Birdonic Waves are sent spiraling to the Earth, being infused with four random civilians. It is up to Ryu Tendoh, the Red Hawk, to locate the four civilians and unite them together to stop Vyram, becoming Chōjin Sentai Jetman!

Kamen Rider W or Kamen Rider Double[/u]
From Wikipedia:
The Sonozaki Family sell mysterious devices resembling USB flash drives called Gaia Memories to criminals and other interested parties who use them to become monsters called Dopants, committing crimes with the police force powerless to stop them. After the death of his boss, the self-proclaimed hardboiled (actually half-boiled) detective Shotaro Hidari works with the mysterious Philip, who possesses the true Gaia Memory, to investigate crimes which involve Dopants. Using their own Gaia Memories, Shotaro and Philip use the Double Driver belts to transform and combine into Kamen Rider Double.

Get ready for a blast of nostalgia! This week we’re watching the following episodes!

Jetman[/u]
– 01 – Seek the Warriors
– 02 – The Third Warrior
– 03 – The Power of Five

Click here to discuss Episodes 1-3 of Jetman!

Kamen Rider Double or Kamen Rider W[/u]
– 01 – Two Detectives in One
– 02 – Those Who Make the City Grieve
– 03 – How to Get to Heaven

You can find these series available on your favorite Torrent Websites such as Over-Time and TV-Nihon, or you can download them direct through our good friends at KRDL.INFO.

See you on the forums!

Gobusters, Gavan Team-Up In September?

Posted on August 26, 2012 at 8:58 am by Paladin under Metal Heroes, Super Sentai

New magazine scans are apparently suggesting that “Gavan TYPE G” from the previously-announced relaunch film will team up with “Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters” for two episodes this September.

At the time of writing the details are mostly unconfirmed so stay tuned to TokuNation as we do our best to keep you up to date! :)
