The UK’s largest Toku and Power Rangers fan meet up – Toku Power Taisen! – is returning for another meet-up at this year’s MCM Comic Con in London on May 25th, 2024!  This is a wonderful opportunity for toku fans in the UK to meet up, cosplay, and share their in their love and passion for toku.

The next Super Sentai in the fan favorite Shodo SUPER line has been announced!

1977’s J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai will be receiving the Shodo SUPER treatment- the EARLIEST Sentai team updated thus far.

The J.A.K.Q. lineup consists of Spade Ace, Diamond Jack, Heart Queen, Clover King & Big One. Each SUPER version comes with their signature weapon and the unique team cannon Big Bomber will also be included.

Shodo SUPER J.A.K.Q. is priced at 8500 Yen before shipping and handling, with release tentatively scheduled for October 2024!

The legendary Super Sentai and Godzilla suit actor, Tsutomu “2Tom” Kitagawa, will be in attendance at this year’s Retro-Toy Con in Greenville, South Carolina.

Tsutomu “2Tom” Kitagawa has appeared (as a suit actor) in Super Sentai series such as Battle Fever J (Battle Kenya, Miss America 2), Denshi Sentai Denizman (Denzi Blue), Dai Sentai Goggle-V (Goggle Black), Kagaku Sentai Dynaman (Dyna Yellow), Choudenshi Bioman (Blue Three), Dengeki Sentai Changeman (Change Pegasus), Choushinsei Flashman (Blue Flash), Hikari Sentai Maskman (Blue Mask), Gosei Sentai Dairanger (Shishi Ranger), Ninja Sentai Kakuranger (Ninja Black), Juken Sentai Gekiranger (Master Bat li), and ToQ 2gou (child) in both the Ressha Sentai ToQGer vs Kyoryuger and Ressha Sentai ToQGer Returns movies.

For Godzilla fans, Tsutomu “2Tom” Kitagawa was Godzilla from 1999-2004.

The DX Full Action line has some more offerings for Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger collectors!

*First up is the DX Western Combo & Kung Fu Combo– which features the Mecha Parasagun, Zakutor, Bunpachy & Ankydon! With these the previously-released Full Action Kyoryuzin can create the special Kyoryuzin Western and Kyoryuzin Kung-Fu configurations. This set is scheduled for release in September 2024 with a price of 8800 Yen.

*Next comes the DX Tobaspino! This movie-exclusive Mecha is redone for this new series, fully compatible with the other releases & capable of forming Spino DaiOh! DX Full Action Tobaspino is also priced at 8800 Yen with release scheduled for November 2024.

A full trailer has been released for the upcoming Super Sentai VS movie double-feature!

*In Part 1, Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger VS Donbrothers both teams encounter one another in the Land of the Dead! How did these heroes die?!

*In Part 2, Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger VS Kyoryuger the Guardians of Earth have set out to find the King of Space and soon find themselves on another world. This trailer confirms the return of several Kyoryuger veterans!

Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger VS Donbrothers & King-Ohger VS Kyoryuger will be written by Kaori Kaneko who previously wrote the Kyoryuger crossover episodes of King-Ohger & directed by Koichi Sakamoto.

The film(s) will receive a limited theatrical release in April 2024 with a home release scheduled for October 9 2024.

The next Super Sentai entry in the fan-favorite Shokugan Modeling Project has been announced!

Taking center stage is GingaiOh– the primary Mecha of 1998’s Seijuu Sentai Gingaman (which Western audiences will recognize as Power Rangers Lost Galaxy!)

All 5 of the StarBeasts are recreated in superb detail, with articulation added in several key joints.

SMP GingaiOh is tentatively scheduled for release in June 2024. The price is a modest 7480 Yen before shipping & handling.

Tonight was Toei’s annual Super Sentai press conference- introducing the world to the 48th Super Sentai team, the Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger!

The initial Boonboomger team consists of:

*BunRed/Taiya Hando portrayed by Haruhi Iuchi– a young man with a burning heart and a passion for cars; he has a hobby of rebuilding and customizing his special vehicle.

*BunBlue/Ishiro Meita played by Yuki Hayama is the teams’ technical expert with a wide array of knowledge who always acts in a professional manner.

*BunPink/Mirai Shifuto portrayed by Suzuki Miu– she is described as a bright and intelligent woman with a tendency to drive off anywhere she finds interesting.

At least two more members will join as the series goes on:

*BunBlack/Jou Akuse played by Saito Ryu– a rookie cop with a serious nature and a history of “comedic” incidents.

*BunOrange/Gemba Bureki portrayed by Satoru Soma described as a gentle but elusive man able to obtain anything he wants from others.

The lives of the Boonboomgers are changed forever thanks to the intervention of Boondorio Boonderas– a strange car shaped alien who crash-landed on Earth and now lives in BunRed’s garage supplying the team with weapons and gear. In combat, Boondorio becomes the main body of Boonboomger Robo. The character will be voiced by veteran VA Rica Matsumoto– who will also perform the ending theme song for the series.

The Boonboomgers will fight against the Space Mafia Hishiriyan! Three Generals from the group were introduced-

*Decotrade (voiced by Junichi Suwabe) is the aggressive troublesome warrior who dreams of advancing in the organization.

*Itasha (voiced by Nana Mizuki is another ambitious soldier.

*Yaiyai Yarker (voiced by Sumire Morohoshi may be the strangest member of the Generals, lacking a humanoid frame & instead appearing as a vehicular body.

Toei has published an official video detailing the main Mecha from the upcoming Super Sentai series Bakuage Sentai BoonBoomger!

BoonBoomger is a vehicle-based series and the centerpiece of the vehicle fleet in this line is the BoonBoom Trailer– a large car carrier used by BoonRed.

The BoonBoomgers will need to combine 3 vehicles for a Mecha form- the default configuration sees Trailer combine with BoonBoom Wagon (used by BoonPink) and BoonBoom Offroad (belonging to BoonBlue). Together they create BoonBoomger Robo!

Newcomers BoonBlack and BoonOrange bring their own vehicle sets:

*PatoCar 1 & 2 are a police duo assigned to BoonBlack- which unlock BoonBoomger Robo Police!
*BoonBoom Shovel & BoonBoom Dozer belong to BoonOrange and activate BoonBoomger Robo Builder!

Another set of vehicles is identified in these early previews: BoonBoom Classic & BoonBoom Racing cars can create the BoonBoomger Robo Knight formation.

The DX BoonBoomger vehicles will be racing their way onto store shelves starting March 2 2024!

Bandai Japan has confirmed the next Super Sentai entry in the Shodo SUPER line- and this is a very unique release!

The Jaden Sentai NejiRanger are the evil counterparts to the Denji Sentai Megaranger. Power Rangers fans would recognize this group as the PSYCHO RANGERS.

All SIX of the NejiRangers are part of this release- meaning this includes the special appearance of NejiSilver!

Shodo Super Jaden Sentai NejiRanger is scheduled for release in June 2024. The price is a modest 10800 Yen before shipping and handling.
