There’s bound to be some contraversy on this one. Samuell Benta, who played the Black Ranger known as Will in Power Rangers Operation Overdrive left a mysterious tweet the other day that has many believing he’s been contacted to return for a cameo in Power Rangers Super Megaforce. The tweet is as follows:
Hmmmmm a certain show has requested that i come back…. What could it be….Now, to the contraversy surrounding Samuell Benta and why so many, including myself, wish he’d stay as far away from Power Rangers as possible.
The first Power Morphicon was a huge success, hence why it’s returned every other year since then. The entire cast of Power Rangers Operation Overdrive was in attendance. There were four official banners that all the guests signed and were going to be auctioned off on eBay with the earnings donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Samuell Benta (allegedly) took one of the banners and, on his own without the assistance of staff, went about getting signatures from all the guests. Upon the closing ceremonies of Power Morphicon, the organizers asked Benta for the banner – Benta refused to return the banner, stating he was going to keep it for himself as a souvenir from the convention. That’s right – he willingly chose to keep a banner meant to be auctioned off for sick and dying children. He admitted that he had it, that he took it, and that he was keeping it. He knew that it was going to be auctioned off for charity but still chose to keep it for his own personal collection.
So Power Rangers fans, do you want Samuell Benta to return for the anniversary season of Power Rangers Super Megaforce? Let us know!
UPDATE 02/26/2020
Samuell Benta has released a YouTube video stating that he never took a banner meant for children – that in fact he set it down and a fan must have taken it.
