Gavan Web Manga #1 Online, New Novels To Follow

Posted on October 18, 2012 at 8:18 am by ZeoRangerV under Metal Heroes

With the release of the brand new Space Sheriff Gavan movie just around the corner and a crossover into Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters behind him, the original Metal Hero is enjoying quite a revival. To add to these, Akita Publishing has just released the first episode of a brand new Gavan web manga, which can be viewed online (in Japanese of course).

Not only that, but two new Gavan novels have been announced – one featuring the original Gavan, and the second featuring the new Gavan Type-G. The first book, “Space Sheriff Gavan The Novel“, continues the adventures of Retsu Ichijouji and a mysterious character named Julia. According to the synopsis, a new criminal organization named Metos appears and hijacks the Dolgiran. With the spacecraft taken, how will Retsu change into Gavan?

The second book, “Space Sheriff Gavan Type-G The Beginning“, tells of Geki Jumonji and Sherry‘s first mission together to retrieve sensitive data from a crash-landed spaceship. The book will also reveal on how Geki became Gavan Type-G.

The two novels are priced 1,050 and 2,500 yen respectively, and to be released on October 19th and 20th respectively in line with the premier of the new movie.

In the meantime, be sure to check out the first episode of the web manga HERE and discuss after the jump!

Power Rangers Megaforce Graphic Novels

Posted on July 3, 2012 at 12:25 pm by ZeoRangerV under Power Rangers

Amazon.com has revealed two forthcoming graphic novels for the upcoming 20th anniversary series Power Rangers Megaforce. Though Amazon has these listed as Super Samurai graphic novels, Samurai Cast has unveiled further information on them, along with an image that confirms them as Megaforce releases.

The books are titled “Gamer’s End and “Panic in the Parade.

Most interestingly, the book synopses on Samurai Cast reveal the names Mike and Theo for the rangers, along with Creepox and Admiral Malkor for the villains. However, site owner Fury Diamond states that Theo is merely a placeholder name.

Check out the full size image and synopses for the books after the jump!
