Jason David Frank Confirms Super Megaforce Cameo List

Posted on May 29, 2013 at 1:51 am by Chris under Power Rangers

Jason David Frank (Tommy, a Power Rangers legend as MMPR Green, MMPR White, Zeo Red, Turbo Red, Dino Thunder Black), confirmed via his official Facebook page that the cameos we’ve seen in the images posted on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are it … no other past Rangers appeared.

The finalized list is as follows:

Jason David Frank – (“Tommy” Mighty Morphin Green and White, Zeo Red, Turbo Red, Dino Thunder Black)
Selwyn Ward – (“TJ” Turbo Red, In Space Blue)
Patricia Ja Lee – (“Cassie” Turbo Pink, In Space Pink)
Danny Slavin – (“Leo” Lost Galaxy Red)
Reggie Rolle – (“Damon” Lost Galaxy Green)
Melody Perkins – (“Karone” In Space Astronema, Lost Galaxy Pink)
Sean Johnson – (“Carter” Lightspeed Red)
Alison MacInnis – (“Dana” Lightspeed Pink)
Jason Faunt – (“Wes” Time Force Red)
Hector David Jr – (“Mike” Samurai Green)
Brittany Pirtle – (“Emily” Samurai Yellow)

The exact quote from Jason David Frank is as follows:

Thats the only 10 that were pick guys. No other rangers came back. Thats the legendary cast for that ep.

So there you have it. We’d like to point out that yes, that is a list of ELEVEN, but the original list provided by RangerCrew.com’s Fury Diamond did not include Patricia Ja Lee. Whether she showed up on her own dime, or Jason David Frank really did do this for one dollar allowing her to be able to come, has yet to be revealed.

I guess the whole 10 actors thing may have meant aside from JDf from the beginning.

I'd complain about how two slots were taken by a Samurai cast I'd rather forget, and the one Samurai you'd want showing up wasn't even invited. But then I see Alison's red hair and forget completely what I was even talking about.

    Was it Squirrels?

It's incredible. I can't complain about anyone on that list.

Pretty much this. The reunion 11 are a pretty unspectacular bunch that do very little to showcase all of the heroes we've had over these twenty years. But then I see that Alison is not only as hot as she was back in Lightspeed but now she has even sexier red hair.

I don't like were it said's. (Thats the only 10 pick guys. No Other Rangers come back. Thats the legendary cast for that ep.) Here's the part i don't like. (For that ep.) Is this only going to be one ep? Is this going to be like Forever Red just one ep? This is not going to be a 5 parter or a tv movie? Just one ep wood be a let down.

I don't understand why if they'e covering so little of the seasons, why they doubled up on four seasons. Seems like a really dumb move. Instead of covering 11 of 20 seasons (12 counting the Megaforce), they've managed to cover 6 (7 counting Megaforce). Seriously, why 3 Lost Galaxy? And why the heck didn't they at least have TJ and Cassie change it up a little to represent both seasons?

I am excited to see most of the returning cast (TJ, Cassie, Leo, Carter, somewhat Dana and especially Wes) but the list just comes off a lacklustre. I just do not understand how they can justify doubling up on such a tiny list of returning characters, especially when compared to Gokaiger which managed to have at least one from all 35 seasons in the series and managed to cover 13 seasons in the original Legend War.

Also the fact that they're all Saban with no Disney is just completely and utterly freaking lame. Saban, get over it, they deserve acknowledgement just as much as you do, if not more because they actually had some of the best seasons and actors.

Like i said before the lineup is still pretty cool. (except Galaxy Green, seriously what the hell?)

It was all but confirmed that it's a single episode

    1) The shoot only lasts 3 days for the cameo actors
    2) JDF just stated that it was a tribute episode
    3) In the cancellation notice that Saban Brands sent out to the people they invited they specifically mentioned an anniversary episode.

So yeah, even with these actors this whole "anniversary" is a major letdown.
