Bandai is at it yet again with more collectible trinkets of your favorite Legend Heroes! The Arms Change line for Kamen Rider Gaim has proven to be one of Bandai of Japan’s biggest sellers this season so cashing in on that success with this unique set was a no brainer. Much like Ranger Keys, Rider Rings, and all those that came before it, Legend sets sell incredibly well.
Featured in Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle the Legend Rider Arms are this years movie exclusive power up. Generally reserved for the main rider, the main 4 riders from the series; Gaim (Wizard), Baron (OOO), Ryugen (W), Zangetsu (Fourze) each receive the “Arms” of a senior rider.
With the high sales of the Arms Change line and the in demand nature of this set, surely Bandai knows they can cash in on us pretty hard by making more Legend Arms? We can only hope! And today we have a special treat for you. Not fruity warlords today but Legendary ones! The next in our series of Arms Change galleries is the Legend Rider Arms Change set!
This power-up is exclusive (so far) to the Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle. The set itself comes with the 4 Legend Rider themed Arms and new helmet/visor sections for each rider. Sadly the set does NOT include the signature weapons of each rider. In the film the Gaim riders have access to each riders personal weapon but here they are not included.
However, that doesn't take away from how awesome & creative a set like this is. Each Arms is a pretty faithful representation of a rider's helmet, and the visor pieces each give off their own unique touch to sell the whole thing. The intended use of each Arms is for Gaim to use Wizar, Zangetsu to use Fourze, Baron to use OOO, & Ryugen to use W. Though because these are Arms Change figures these can be swapped in any number of combinations. They look good on their intended riders but honestly they all look good in just about any combination.
For transformation the OOO and W helmets are especially frustrating. Parts clearance issues prevent a smooth transformation but the end result is quite nice. Wizard is simple brilliance, and Fourze is fun and creative.
This may not be the perfect set but it is quite fun. Provided sales numbers and ratings continue to increase for Gaim, I'd hope Bandai takes notice and creates more Legend Arms in this style.
I still find it ironic that they gave Fourze (Friendship) to Zangetsu of all people
I still love these, if for the sheer lunacy is nothing else.
Still waiting on my set from CStoys. It should be here tomorrow. I can't wait!
