A surprise reveal from last nights Tamashii official image drop was none other than S.H. Monsterarts Super Mecha Godzilla! Long demanded by Godzilla collectors, Super Mecha Godzilla appears to be a pretty complete package. It includes not only an extra pair of hands and a Tamashii Stage, but also the Garuda parts as well as an adapter to mount them!
This impressive releases is scheduled for release in March 2017 as a Tamashii Web Exclusive for 10,800 yen. Be sure to visit your favorite Tamashii Web middleman or service in the near future to secure an order for S.H. Monsterarts Super Mecha Godzilla.

If I still cared about the Heisei series, I would be extremely happy. However, I'm not, so I can't. I'm so sick and tired of Heisei this, Heisei that that not even this can excite me. I've said it before and I will continue saying it until Bandai actually does it, GIVE ME SOME GODZILLA DAMN SHOW MONSTERS!!!!
HA! I'd say I should've put money down on this happening, but after the Destoroyah redeco, this happening seems pretty predictable.
Funny thing is, now that I see what's being offered here, I'm not as enthusiastic for it. Going off the TWE listing, it's missing all the effects bits from both the previous MG & Garuda releases. If you JUST wanted a Garuda and don't care about the other stuff, this will still be cheaper than tracking down an original release. Otherwise, you're still left to track down the original Garuda (and/or MG, if you didn't own either). The Heisei MG wasn't my favorite design, but I loved how much stuff it came with, and how things like the Garuda set and that head they threw in with Fire Rodan augmented its display options. Individual Garudas have slowly been going down in price in recent months; hopefully that trend continues at least a little with this announcement, and I'll "settle" with paying up for the original Garuda at some point in the future.
Good to see some more variety in the repaints/re-releases, hope that means we get some more variety with some new stuff next year too.
I like me some Mechagodzilla but at the Web-Exclusive price point I'll have to pass, there's too many big things coming up for me already.
Overall the price isn't too bad though, but at retail it would’ve been even better.
