Recently we took a look at one of the leads of the excellent Amazon Japan web series Kamen Rider Amazons with S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Amazon Omega. Well we’re mixing things up a bit today, before we take a look at the series other lead rider, Amazon Alpha, we’re going to take a look at Omega’s Rider Machine, the S.H. Figuarts Jungraider!
Believe it or not, the Jungraider should be familiar to many people whether they’ve seen Amazons or not. And that’s because this bike is part of Bandai’s long tradition of recycled old suits and props. In fact the Jungraider was made from Kamen Rider Gills very own Gills Raider! So the figuart is no different, it’s an excellent remold of the Gills Raider, released nearly 7 years ago! But that’s not all, the Jungraider also includes the last couple pieces of Amazon Omega’s arsenal, the Battler Grip Sickle & Battler Grip Whip! This is a truly interesting release that will compliment any Amazons collection.
We’ve put together over 40 images of S.H. Figuarts Jungraider after the jump. Just click “Discuss on the TokuNation Forums” after the jump to see the full gallery & review. We’ll be back with more Amazons goodness soon with a full gallery of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Amazon Alpha!

Recently we took a look at one of the leads of the excellent Amazon Japan web series Kamen Rider Amazons with S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Amazon Omega. Well today we're going to take a look at his Rider Machine with S.H. Figuarts Jungraider!
Packaging
Jungraider comes in a pretty slick box that fits in well with the retail release of Omega. While Rider Machines rarely do much and the stock photos instead focus on the rider, the Jungraider still manages to look great in these shots.
While we're here though, yes, the box does say "Junglaider". And while that appears to be the official romanization of the name, much like "Akarenger" we can infer the proper spelling from context. Showa Amazon's bike was named the Jungler, this bike is named Jungraider obviously as combination of the words Jungle & Raider. That classic flipped "L" & "R" in Japanese is what's caused that nonsensical english name for the bike. Jungraider is clearly the intent. Much like how Amazon "Alpha" is clearly meant to be the Alpha to Haruka's Omega and not the rather silly spelling of "Alfa" that's on his box.
Main Figure
The Jungraider, like many Rider Machines, is a very basic release. It's not a gimmick bike, it doesn't transform like Dragranzer or Auto-Vaijin. It's just a standard figuarts bike. But wow is it a sexy one. And one you've probably seen before, whether you realized it or not. Both in show and in toy form, the Jungraider is heavily based upon the Gills Raider. That's right, the actual show prop Jungraider is built from is the Gills Raider used by Kamen Rider Gills in Kamen Rider Agito. It's physically the same bike with cosmetic changes. And awesomely enough, so is the figuart! At it's core S.H. Figuarts Jungraider is still a Gills Raider, a nearly 7 year old toy! You can see where the molding diverges in the side detailing but the core engine block of the bike is identical, right down to the nice hefty die-cast parts. It still kind of blows my mind, but this bike just looks so different that sometimes it's hard to even se the similarities.
As I said Jungraider is a gorgeous machine. The new detailing added to this mold give it a very nice hybrid organic/machine look, much like the Amazons themselves. And wow do the compound eyes on this beauty shine. They pop more than most rider figuarts. I've included some side by side comparison shots of the Jungraider with it's Showa counterpart the Jungler so you can see where the design influence comes from. While Jungraider still has the tail fins they're much smaller, likewise the "head" of the bike is clearly based on it's rider, it's just that in the Jungraider's case it doesn't have a mouth that opens with missiles in it like Jungler.
And honestly that's about all there is to say about the bike itself. It's a wonderful modern update to a classic design that fits right into the world of the current Amazons. It looks fantastic with Amazon Omega, and considering in Amazons Season 2 that Amazon Neo has an almost identical bike, I think it's safe to say that an eventual figuarts Neo will look great with it to. One minor complaint is that because this is such an old mold, and rider figuarts are generally larger these days, Omega does look almost too big for it. But I'll let the picture do the rest of the talking.
Accessories
Thankfully the Jungraider includes the only 2 things that were really missing from Amazon Omega!
1 - Wheel base. The standard sized one nearly all Rider machines come with these days to stabilize the rear tire.
1 - Tamashii Stage Adapter. One specifically made for this bike that hooks onto the undercarriage to allow for dynamic action shots.
1 - Battler Grip (Whip). The whip form of the Battler is based on Showa Amazon's classic Condorer Rope. This one however is made of a flexible plastic that will hold it's shape much more easily allowing you to capture some nice curved poses with it.
1 - Battler Grip (Sickle). By far my favorite version of the Grip, the Sickle just seems to be a much more savage weapon. And given how Omega used it in show, that's appropriate.
So really the Jungraider doesn't come with much for itself, but then it doesn't really need to. The extra accessories for Omega should help incentive people who would otherwise pass on this release to get it for completion. I wanted the bike anyway, but the weapons are a great bonus.
Final Thoughts
Now nicely enough Amazon Neo from Amazons Season 2 rides the same type of Jungraider as Haruka/Omega. The ONLY difference being the eye color. Omega's Jungraider has green eyes whereas Neo's has yellow eyes. I can easily see this bike being repainted with the yellow eyes, and coming with at least some kind of one-off weapon accessory for Neo and probably being a Web Exclusive to boot. And I'd still buy it. This is a really sharp looking bike that I'd be happy to own more than one of. If you see S.H. Figuarts Jungraider out there for a decent price, I say pick it up to complete your Amazons display!

This looks great, another great gallery Den-O. I might get this bike if the price is right, mostly for the weapons for omega.

That’s one good looking bike, especially for a secondary rider

Only Showa show I saw was Amazon so the Jungraider looking this good makes me happy

Love this bike

The only disappointment here is that there's no comparison with the Gill's Raider. But it does have what I think is Battle Hopper. And I love Battle Hopper.

Is that a bleeding-heart design right in front of the seat? That's terrific! I didn't realize this thing came with accessories for Omega. Maybe I'll peek at it on Mandarake.
Still, this bike showcases one of my problems with the series. The suit designs and the bike look like they come from a standard Heisei-era show, in which there's nothing weird about the hero having a motorcycle that just *happens* to look like their hero suit. In the grimdark world of Amazons, though, they feel out of place.

The Jungraider looks fantastic, one of the more striking rider bike designs.
