Last night’s SDCC preview didn’t give us much in the way of new product to salivate over, but that’s changed today. The first new product’s from Hasbro’s Power Rangers Lightning Collection are on display!
At the annual Hasbro Breakfast just now we got our first look at a brand new two-pack featuring the Mighty Morphin Green Ranger in his slightly altered “Fighting Spirit” costume, silver stripe and all! And his opponent is none other than the classic Season 1 Mighty Morphin Putty! Green Ranger of course features the signature silver Stripe the costume gained from the Fighting Spirit episode of Power Rangers Dino Thunder. He includes the Dragon Dagger, Sword of Darkness, a Tommy Oliver head, and green energy effects. Meanwhile his opponent the Putty, includes some alternate weapon arms and and attack effect part! This set will retail for $39.99 and be available to pre-order through a number of online retailers including Hasbro Pulse, Gamestop, Big Bad Toy Store, and Entertainment earth.

I remember one of the really cool things when we saw Lightning Collection Wave 1 is that for once, especially coming off of Legacy and BoA as a whole; we weren't getting all MMPR all the time. Sure, there was a focus on MMPR in Wave 1, but not only was it from the more obscure Season 2, it featured a monster and it didn't overshadow that we were getting things from seasons that people had wanted for a long long time.
... so it's been just a little disappointing to see pretty much all our reveals since then be MMPR Season 1 stuff. Goldar; Armoured Black; Armoured Red (plus Zeo Gold), and now this 2-pack. Happy that want them, certainly, and I like that Goldar aside they're all variants of some kind that represent a rarer appearance of them than their default.
And I'm sure that the focus is just because these are exclusives and Wave 1 will probably make me happy with Mystic Force and Lightspeed Rescue or something. But I guess it's just seeing all this MMPR stuff front and center that's a bit of a letdown.

New images of Beast machines Red and Hi-Res images of the Green/Putty two pack up on the front page now as well!

Yeah, I think they've gone ahead and just absolutely nailed the gold on, well, Zeo Gold. He looks phenomenal.
Does he actually come with two staffs? I'm assuming one is extended and one is in its powered down mode. If that's the case it's super cool and provides dual wielding opportunities

Have to say I like the silver trim version a little better than standard green ranger. I think it gives him stronger ties to the dragonzord
GreenPsychoRanger says
I'm digging that putty figure! But is the pack a con exclusive or the pack be for retail?
