Kamen Rider Gaim Soccer Battle Movie Available in English on 12-18

In a surprise announcement, Team Kamen Rider shared the news that the Kamen Rider Gaim – Great Soccer Battle! Golden Fruits Cup! movie will be added to the Toei Tokusatsu World Official YouTube channel at 5pm PT / 8pm ET on Friday, December 18th.  We reached out to Team Kamen Rider to confirm that, yes, the movie will be subtitled in English for Western speaking fans.

This movie takes place during the Kamen Rider Gaim television series but happens in a parallel dimension.  Fans of the show will see familiar faces not seen in quite some time.  Newcomers will get to experience the entirety of the lineup of Kamen Rider Gaim characters in a single movie including movie-only Riders and forms however it will a lot of the story elements if you haven’t watched the series (ie: the surprise of certain characters becoming Kamen Riders or the identity of certain forms).

    I guess deciding to rewatch the gaim soccer episode out of nowhere a few weeks ago was just me being a prophet.

    The goddamn Gaim Soccer Movie. Of all things.

    If only because I can't make any sense out of it. And really the only sense I can make out of it is that it's trying to be advertising for the CSM stuff. But it still feels like, so random.

    What's coming to mind for me is that this is a stream -- so naturally, a movie is going to be a better pick for it. And like the Zi-O movie, they'll announce afterwards that it's coming to the service in a month or two... but unlike the Zi-O movie, Gaim the series will be added too. It's the only thing that makes sense to me, especially with how long it's been since 71 and Kuuga were added.

    Frankly I think anybody who sees that poster and doesn't know better is going to be disappointed that the entire movie isn't actually just a soccer tournament with Kamen Riders!

    Honestly, this is what I'm hoping ends up being the case. Cause it would just feel like a really odd pick otherwise, stream or not.
