Wizardriver Hack Reveals Special Rush Showa Callouts

Posted on November 16, 2012 at 4:06 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

Thanks to some more creative fans in Japan we’ve seen yet another hack of the DX Wizardriver from Kamen Rider Wizard. This hack reveals something called Special Rush. Apparently Wizard will obtain and potentially use a ring by that name in Kamen Rider Movie Wars Ultimatum. The most intersting part is that when this ring is scanned across the Wizardriver it performs a special roll call for Showa riders. All of them from Ichigou through Shin. ZO and J appear to have been left out but depending on who you ask they are or aren’t considered Showa riders anyway.

But what does this shout out from the Wizardriver mean? Are we being treated to another round of awesome appearances by Showa Kamen Riders like we were in Movie Wars Megamax? The movie will officially feature Kamen Riders Wizard, Fourze, Meteor, Nadeshiko, OOO, Birth, W, and Accel, Bishoujo Kamen Poitrine, Sannagiman/Inazuman, and the Akumaizer 3. And presumably an appearance by Kamen Rider Beast! Will adding the Showa Kamen Riders top off this final love letter to the spirit of Inshinimori? Time will tell, stay tuned with Tokunation to find out.

Saban Brands Extends Use of "Power Rider" Trademark

Posted on November 14, 2012 at 4:48 pm by Chris under Kamen Rider

Does anyone remember when Saban Brands filed a trademark use for the term Power Rider, and rampant speculation began that Saban was going to adapt a Kamen Rider series in the United States?

Well, in short, nothing ever came of it.

The rumor mills thought that because of the crossover footage in Shinkenger (Power Rangers Samurai) with Kamen Rider Decade that Saban was planning to use that footage and then spin-off the appearance with Kamen Rider Decade as Power Rider.

Again, nothing ever came of it.

Thanks to our friends at Firestarter’s Blog we know that Saban Brands has once again filed for, and was granted, the use of the name Power Rider.

Will anything come of it this time?

A popular thought here at TokuNation was that Saban would adapt over the Kamen Rider Fourze series. While unpopular with adults, the series was popular with the younger demographic and the amount of sales generated from the roleplay gear, etc., more than proves that the merchandise sold very well. Take in to effect that the setting is high school with teenagers, and the overall easy-to-tie-in merchandise, it still seems like a no-brainer.

Speculate away, Tokusatsu fans!

Inazuman Revealed in Ultimatum Movie Poster!

Posted on November 9, 2012 at 6:57 pm by Den-O under Kamen Rider

And as has been speculated a new modern Innazuman will be making his debut in Kamen Rider Movie Wars Ultimatum! I don’t know about the rest of you but that design looks pretty killer to me! Sannagiman was our biggest hint up to this point since his form is the one which precedes Inazuman. Yet another Ishinimori character joins the cast of this film featuring Kamen Riders Fourze, Meteor, Nadeshiko, W, Accel, OOO, Birth, and Bishoujo Kamen Potrine!

Update! New/better image also courtesy of Jefusion!
