New Sodo figures were unveiled at the Autumn Miyazawa Model Exhibition held recently in Japan. This gives our first look at the upcoming Shodo-X Wave 4 figures which appear to be Kamen Rider Ryuki themed with Ryuki himself, Knight, and Contract Monster Dragreder prominently on display.

In addition to those, we have the next wave of SO-DO Kamen Rider Zi-O figures: SO-DO Kamen Rider Zi-O Ride4 on display.  Ride4 will feature the OOO, Kabuto, Blade, and Kiva armor times. This also gives us our first clear look at the full Kiva and Blade Armor Times themselves with more in the wave yet to be revealed.

The Shodo-X Ryuki wave won’t be released till April 2019 while you can look forward to SO-DO Zi-O Ride4 in December of this year.

Toei has released the first full trailer for the upcoming Kamen Rider crossover film, Kamen Rider: Heisei Generations Forever!

This epic crossover features a clash of all Heisei-Era Kamen Riders against a threat that could change reality as we know it.

Heisei Generations Forever is currently scheduled for release on December 22 2018!

“Time Mazine!”

The massive mecha known as the Time Mazine is the last line of defense between the rebels of 2068 & the dark overlord Oma Zi-O. These mass produced defenders have even been known to be used by the Time Jackers… Sougo Tokiwa was given access to one thanks to Tsukuyomi travelling back in time from this bleak future. A means of travel to the eras of the legendary riders that preceded him, Sougo as the present day Kamen Rider Zi-O will gain the powers of the past to save (or dominate) the future!

DX Time Mazine is the big DX toy of the line this year. In years past it was preceded by things like Captain Ghost, Tridoron, Suika Arms, and Wizardragon. While we don’t get to see a lot of the big items each year because of CG costs, Time Mazine is used fairly often actually. The DX toy winds up being one of the best articulated mecha we’ve gotten in a while (take that Sentai!) and is completely interactive with the Ride Watches of the toyline. This figure is also scaled to work with the Rider Kicks RKF line and even transforms to vehicle mode!

On the next phase of his journey across time & space, Kamen Rider Zi-O will visit the world of fan-favorite fruit dancer Kamen Rider Gaim!

A pair of returning Rider actors have been announced for this illustrious occasion:

*Gaku Sano will once again reprise his role as the titular Kamen Rider Gaim! He appears to offer guidance to the wandering Sougo.

*Not to be outdone, Yutaka Kobayashi will be returning as Kaito Kumon- better known as Kamen Rider Baron! Kaito will offer his expertise to a still-skeptical Geiz.

“It’s time. Finally, I will become the god amongst all gods!”

In a bid to create the ultimate game Zombie Chronicle, and restore the data of all those lost to the Bugster Virus, Kuroto Dan has obtained the power of god. Using the God Maximum Mighty X Gashat, Kuroto ascends to become Kamen Rider GenM God Maximum Gamer, Level Billion! And this unique S.H. Figuart has quite a a history to it.

GenM Level Billion is an all new mold, and honestly a surprising release. It’s been a couple years since Ex-Aid aired, and despite this we’ve still yet to see a number of Ex-Aid’s forms in S.H. FIguarts. But Kuroto Dan’s massive popularity continues to drive new releases for him, including this one. A repaint of an Ex-Aid figure that actually has still yet to release! Level Billion is a big beefy, and surprisingly well articulated figure that shine’s with GenM’s personality. The included extra hands and Gashacon Key Slasher also compliment the figure nicely.

The controversial Kamen Rider Hibiki will be the next Kamen Rider series to make the leap to high definition!

Released in 2005, Hibiki quickly became famous for sidestepping some of the more “traditional” Kamen Rider elements AND a sudden crew change roughly halfway through the series resulting in a somewhat drastic tonal shift.

Kamen Rider Hibiki will be released in three separate box sets-

*Set 1 will be released on January 9 2019 and contain the first fourteen episodes.

*Set 2 is scheduled for release on March 6 2019 and contain episodes 15-29.

*Set 3 rounds out the series with episodes 30-48 & will be available on May 8 2019.

In addition the various volumes will contain interviews and retrospectives from a number of Hibiki cast members.

Each Blu-Ray set of Kamen Rider Hibiki will cost a steep 17800 Yen before shipping and handling.

Looks like it’s ARMOR TIME for SH Figuarts!

After being shown off at a trade show last month, official release details have just been announced for Kamen Rider Zi-O Build Armor! This was the first alternate form obtained by the King of Time on his adventures across the Heisei Era, based on his highly-successful predecessor Kamen Rider Build.

Figuarts Zi-O Build Armor is a Premium Bandai exclusive, currently the scheduled for release in May 2019! The price is a very modest 5940 Yen before shipping and handling.

The mighty Kuroto Dan has returned! Evil CEO turned Dangerous Zombie, now the one true Game Master has returned as Bugster! Revived thanks to Poppy the new Kuroto has 99 lives and all the time in the world to seek revenge on Kamen Rider Para-DX as well as his father Masamune. Back from the dead, this is our gallery & review of S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider GenM Action Gamer Level 0!

GenM has made a couple outings in this line as Level 2, Level X, and even Level Billion at this point, but Level 0 is the first one to truly cash in on Kuroto’s massive popularity. A very minor repaint of Level 2, Level 0 includes a ton of new accessories like the Bug Visor Zwei, a God Kuroto Dan effect sheet, Life Point Counters, and even a Gashacon Breaker Blade. Even as similar as they are, this release does a fantastic job of setting itself apart. But is it really worth those Tamashii Web Exclusive dollars? Check out our gallery & review to find out!

RIDER TIME!

For those of us that have been watching Kamen Rider Zi-O and clamoring for merch based on the Another Riders, we got you covered; P-Bandai just announced a DX Another Rider Ride Watch set.

The set will retail for 3,240 yen with pre-orders beginning November 1st, 2018. This set will contain ride watches for Another Build, Another Ex-Aid, Another Fourze, Another Faiz, and finally Another Wizard.

There is, however, a catch: all of the sounds will be contained in one Ride Watch block, the actual faceplates don’t appear to unlock any new sounds and are only there for cosmetic purposes only, while the block itself is programmed to cycle through all the sounds.  

UPDATE:

The pre order link is now up! The Another Ride Watch set will be coming out sometime March 2019.

A new trailer has been posted for the upcoming Nintendo Switch video game, Kamen Rider Climax Scramble!

Taking center stage in this new advertisement is Japanese wrestler & tokusatsu alumni Hiroshi Tanahashi teaching his young son how to digitally channel the powers of Kamen Rider.

Climax Scramble will feature a total of 31 playable Kamen Riders- from Kamen Rider Kuuga to Kamen Rider Zi-O and several more in between! Gameplay includes VS Mode and 2-player team battles.

Kamen Rider: Climax Scramble will be released on November 29 2018!
