Celebrating Black Toku Content Creators – Dr. Zeo
If there is one thing that tokusatsu and Power Rangers have shown all of us over 30+ years it is the importance of inclusivity and diversity. As we celebrate Black History Month we wanted to recognize some of the Black toku content creators that help make this fan community as amazing as it is.
Today we wanted to celebrate Dr. Zeo, a YouTuber who focuses on Power Rangers and tokusatsu content on his channel. You will find video essays on Power Rangers, unboxings of your favorite tokusatsu media (such as Shout! Factory’s DVDs of Super Sentai and Kamen Rider), and episode reviews on Power Rangers.

Shogukan Model Project DaiRenOh Release Coming Soon
Bandai Japan has revealed the next entry in the Shogokan Modeling Project Minipla line.
The next Super Sentai mecha to receive the Minipla treatment is the DaiRenOh from 1993’s Gosei Sentai Dairanger (which Western fans may recognize as the Thunder Megazord from Season 2 of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers).
Price and release details for SMP DaiRenOh are not confirmed at time of writing. Stay tuned to TokuNation for further updates!
Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger Press Conference Details- New Sentai Cast Revealed!
Toei has completed their annual Super Sentai press conference, introducing the world to the 47th Super Sentai team: Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger.
This members of this new team are-
*Taisei Sakai as Gira-the self proclaimed ruler of Shugoddam. He is an orphan raised in a castle town, with the power to become KuwagataOhger!
*Auto Watanabe as Yanma Gust– the General King of Nikosopa a land of technology, who worked his way up from slums. He becomes TonboOhger!
*Erika Murakami as Himeno Ran– Queen of Ishabana– the land of Arts & Medicine. A selfish person who will still fight to save others as KamikiriOhger!
*Yuzuki Hirakawa as Rita Kaniska– Ruler & Chief Justice of the frozen land Gokkan. Stubborn & apparently cold-hearted but transforms into the powerful PapilionOhger!
*Sou Kaku as Kaguragi Dybowski– The Lord of Tofu agriculture land, he is a manipulative and clever speaker with the power of HachiOhger!
The King-Ohgers unite to battle against the Earth Empire Bugnarok! Two members of this villain group were shown in the new series trailer:
*Emperor Deathnarak– voiced by Tomoyuki Shimura

New Third Party MMPR Megazord – Lucky Cat’s Micro Cosmos MC-03 Beast Lord – Pre-Orders Open
For a very long time now, Power Rangers fans have watched as third party companies in other popular brands (like Transformers) create unlicensed representations of their favorite characters from television, comics, and video games. It would appear that Power Rangers and Super Sentai fans are finally getting some love.
Chinese company Lucky Cat has revealed the full details on their third release in the Micro Cosmos line and it is none other than “Beast Lord“, or a representation of DaiZyuJin/Dino Megazord. These are 2″ large figures that fold in to cubes, then come together to form the mighty Beast Lord.

Lucky Cat has teased future releases as well but they do not look to include a Dragon Caesar/Dragonzord at this time.
Shinkocchou Seihou S.H. Figuarts GokaiRed Release Details
Captain Marvelous is about to join the Shinkocchou Seihou line up of S.H. Figuarts from Tamashii Nations.
We don’t have the exact specific details of what GokaiRed will release with, but we do have an idea thanks to some magazine scans. He looks to come with his Mobirate (in two forms), an open and shut Ranger Key, the Gokai Saber and Gokai Gun. This is a brand new figure using body scans of the suit actor, Hirofumi Fukuzawa, and features a ton of new and enhanced articulation capabilities.
This item is general release, with orders opening on February 9th 2023 (the evening of February 8th 2023 for fans importing in the US). The price looks to be around 9350 yen with a June 2023 release.

Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger DX Mecha King Ohger Revealed
Bandai Japan has released the first official look at the DX Mecha for the upcoming 47th Super Sentai series Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger!
This unique new Mecha consists of TEN components! Each individual Mecha is known as a ShuGod– a mechanical lifeform native to the kingdoms of King-Ohger.
The first five ShuGods match the King-Ohger team:
*God Kuwagata
*God Tonbo
*God Kamikiri
*God Papillion
*God Hachi
With another five soon joining the fray-
*twin God Spiders
*dual God Ladybugs
*God Ant
All ten ShuGods unite to form the mighty King Ohger!
But that’s not all- Bandai Japan has also revealed the ELEVENTH Mecha for this new Super Sentai- the God Kabuto! This golden beetle links with King Ohger to create a powerful arm weapon.
The DX King-Ohger set of 10 is scheduled for release on March 4 2023 at a price of 9350 Yen. God Kabuto will be released in Late March 2023 for 3850 Yen. A set containing King-Ohger AND God Kabuto will be available for 13200 Yen.
Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger & Avataro Sentai Donbrothers Crossover Announced
The Toei Tokusatsu Fan Club has announced the next Super Sentai crossover special!
Once again the Avataro Sentai Donbrothers will meet an older team: the Dino-Guts powered Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger!
Bakuryu Sentai Abaranger With Donbrothers is scheduled for release in 2023.
Shodo Super Gosei Sentai Dairanger Release Announced
The next Super Sentai team to receive a Shodo SUPER release is 1993’s Gosei Sentai Dairanger!
All six members of the Dairanger team have been recreated with superb detail. This release includes all individual and team weaponry.
Shodo SUPER’s Dairanger set is tentatively scheduled for release in June 2023. Price is a modest 10800 Yen before shipping and handling.
