Ultraman Ginga S Toy Scans- New Figures & Weapons!

A new catalog scan has turned up online & gives us some new details regarding the second season of Ultraman Ginga!

*The new hero Ultraman Victory is heavily featured in this new merchandise, receiving two new roleplay weapons: the Strium Brace transformation device and the Victory Lancer weapon.

*Victory’s special ability is revealed through the new action figure series, “Change Victory.” The new Ultraman can summon and transform various monster limbs for new attacks. The Change Victory action figures are said to be similar to Kamen Rider Gaim’s “Arms Change” series, something Ultra collectors may enjoy!

The tremendous variety of materials suggests a promising future for Ultraman! Stay tuned to TokuNation as we keep you up to date on this exciting second season!

Ultra Act Renweal Tiga Revealed

Tamashi has announced the wave of figures that will be coming out this summer, among them a brand new version of Ultraman Tiga for the Ultra Act line!

Ultra Act Renewal Tiga will be released in August with no word yet on the pricing.

Ultra-Act Ultraman Zero V2 Gallery

Time for another trip to the Land of Light! We’re back with another long overdue Ultra-Act gallery in the form of Ultraman Zero (V2)! 

Just to start, this figure is a VAST improvement on the original Ultra-Act Zero. Aside from implementing proper articulation and paint apps, this figure includes more accessories than you could have hoped for. Nearly every accessory important to the character is included, effect parts are a plenty, and the figure couldn’t look more perfect.

This figure is an absolutely ideal example of the quality improvements this line has undergone since it’s inception. If you haven’t picked it up by now, then you definitely should. Ultraman Victory Confirmed with Official Announcement of Ultraman Ginga S

A lot of exciting news for fans of the Ultraman series. It has now been officially announced that the next Ultraman series will be Ultraman Ginga S, a sequel to Ultraman Ginga, and will feature the new hero Ultraman Victory. The new hero will be played by Uji Kiyotaka, best known as the actor who played the role of the Unicorn Zodiarts in Kamen Rider Fourze.

For fans of Power Rangers, beloved director and executive producer Koichi Sakamoto will be taking the helm as the main director for the series. His last job was none other than director for Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, which is being adapted as Power Rangers Dino Charge in 2015 on Nickelodeon.

Ultraman Ginga S premieres on July 15th, 2014 and will consist of total of 16 episodes broken down in to two halves of eight episodes each. What are your thoughts on that crazy helmet design? Or the suit in general? Are you looking forward to the series? Discuss away on the forums!

Official Teaser Image of Ultraman Victory

Several weeks ago we reported that a new Ultra trademark had been filed, using the name “Ultraman Victory.”

Today we received our first official image of this new hero! Although most of the suit is obscured, we can see certain impressive details- including a consistent “V For Victory” theme.

The exact details of the series have not yet been revealed but Ultraman Victory should make some appearances with current Ultraman Ginga during the “New Ultraman Retsuden” special programming over this summer. Stay tuned to TokuNation for further details!!

Three Major Tokusatsu Hero Festival To Be Held in August

No, this isn’t the poster for the next Super Hero Taisen film but a celebration of Japan’s three major Toku franchise and an event for fans of all ages.

 The Three Major Tokusatsu Hero Festival is an event that celebrates all things related to Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and Super Sentai. The Festival will be held this August at the ATC Hall in Osaka Japan.

Ultra-Act renewal Astra Official Images

Joining Zangetsu Shin as a Tamashii Web Exclusive in August is a renewal version of Astra, the younger brother of Ultraman Leo!

Astra comes packaged with alternate hands, a red replacement colour timer, replacement armour and a cloak for the renewal Ultraman Leo figure and finally beam effect parts for their “Double Ultra Flasher” Attack.

Ultraman Victory…New Ultraman Series Rumoured?

From the latest issue of Televi-Kun magazine, it seems that a new Ultraman series could be coming.

Supposedly the new series will be called ウルトラマンビクトリー or Ultraman Victory. While the name has been trademarked, no further information on this series exists and whether or not this will be another mini series or Retsudan type show remains to be seen.

For now, take this with a grain of salt and stay tuned for more updates.
