In commemoration of the 20th anniversary of Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger, Bandai’s Candy Toy Blog has released an official teaser image of the long awaited Gao King Super Minipla! For the time being all we have is this silhouette of Gao King as well as the silhouettes of the 6 Shodo Super Gaorangers in the background.

However, this teaser also promises more information to come next month, on March 5th & 6th. Today, February 18th in Japan, officially marked the 20th anniversary of Gaoranger in Japan, and in honor of that Toei will be livestreaming an event via youtube with the official reveals of both the Shodo Super Gaorangers & Super Minipla Gao King. You know the drill by now right? Well of course! It’s Power Rangers Wild Force month at Tokunation! And as we begin to round out our little series of “Gaolleries” we take a look at a very special release from Hyakuju Sentai Gaoranger!

DX Black Gao King is a special repaint of the standard Gao King set done up in, you guessed it, black/silver, packed in a black/white version of the normal Gao King box. The set has a nice sleek uniform color scheme that’s very pleasing to the eye. Though if you already have a normal Gao King this may not be a set you’d want to double up with. The Black Gao Elephant released with the TRU Gao Knight set[/URL] is also a perfect addition to this set allowing you to make a full on Black Gao King Sword & Shield!

Of course this set is part of a long long tradition of black repaints not only for sentai, but for mecha shows in general. The first black edition sentai robo being the Black Daizyujin later altered for release in the US as the Black MMPR Megazord.

Scans from the latest issue of Televi-kun magazine have revealed that the forthcoming Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters vs. Gokaiger movie will indeed include a mecha gokai change!

As was seen in the previews following the last few episodes of Go-Busters, the mecha will be able to call on the power of giant ranger keys to transform into past mecha. Included in the magazine scan are Gaoranger’s Gaoking, Magiranger’s Magiking, Dairanger’s RyuuseiOh, Flashman’s Flashking, Zyuranger’s Daizyujin, Boukenger’s Daibouken and Gekiranger’s GekiTouja!

In addition, the film will also feature new Buddyroid ranger keys!
